10+10 flower room

:leaf:i have a ten by ten flower room with eight foot ceilings i have one 1000 watt mh hangin square in the middle also flat white walls, really bright!!! now in all reality i should be able to pack it right full of 1 gallon pots and have my plants ream right???

wow your lumens per squar ft is really low 1150 to be exsact, i would recomend getting more lights

i wonder if the metal halide would be all right if i strung 100 watt equivelant cfls through out the garden??

you would have to put alot of cfl in there for that, are you going to be using HPS for flower?

idk i grew beautiful crop couple mos ago with just one single 600 watt mh i got a ballast thats older than the hills havent tried hps in it but the mh seems to be workin fine i prolly will find out when i put hps in it right?

idk what does everyone recomend for a 10+10 room with eight foot ceilings ive pumped out a few crops but could b better , any advice???

...I have similar size room with 1000w...I can fit 16 plants in a floodtable and 4 DWC buckets next to the table all under my light....the 16 are in 8" pots...as long as the poly is up , the light hits everthing nice for me....good luck

I was thinking the same thing, which is why I clicked on it... Ooh well. Still your idea to execute.

Yes yes yes. Simple formula and old as the hills:

1000 watts covers 4'x4' (62.5 watts per sq ft)

600 watts covers 3'x3' (66 watts per sq ft)

400 watts 2.5'x2.5' (64 watts per sq ft)

You can squeeze a few extra feet out of each light, but don't even think about anything less than 50 watts per sq ft. And, if you're running CO2, think more in the area of 70+ watts per sq ft if you really want to realize the full benefit of CO2.
