10,000 Kelvin 1KW HID. Questions/Thoughts.

Yeah those are those gavita bulbs, double ended.. closer to full spectrum made by philips agri division.. off the top of my head.
 
Oh well.. not a big deal if you havent run the high kelvin MH bulbs.. just looking for people pushing potency or quality with these..

Chemdog. 35~ days into flower. 3rd day with high kelvin bulb. (1.04KW/Scrog) Previous bulb Hortilux 1KW HPS EN.
Blue tape is my reference point, just to make sure I take the same picture a week from now.

Observations: The high kelvin bulb makes it easy to identify problems, slight overfeeding, on some leaf tips, nitrogen was reduced, ph was bumped up and new growth is a lighter green. Leaves to the center, showing good development of trichromes. Few red pistils. No insect activity observed.
 
Well I wish I had a day 60 shot.. somebody cut the piece I was documenting. Anyways, rock hard nuggets, and I had some people compare against some blue dream that was tested at around 20% THC. They said chemdog and the C99 (their favorite). Was easily as good .

The only bad thing I noticed is ripening of trichromes takes longer. Reds and cloudy took longer to develop.

Yield isn't a huge concern, just wanted to see if this will push potency up or tighten up things.

Ive ran a 10k as a finishing bulb for the last 2 weeks of bloom. Solistek ballast and bulb is one of the only true finishing bulbs on the market spec. designed for ripening and finishing during final 2 weeks of bloom.

It claims to increase resin and trich production 5-8% during final weeks. I honestly cant tell u that it made a difference. Ive only done 3 runs using this bulb in final weeks, I cant say I noticed a dramatic difference in quality but they def came out very frosty.
