ok i am growing to chemdog seeds ,they are one week old today ,one of them looks ok it has developed its first 2 spiked leaves and the next two are visibly forming. My other seedling isn't doing so great though it has its first spiked leaves also, but the next two are not really visible, and it hasn't appeared to grow at all in about 4 days.Throught this ones life so far one half of a coteyldon has been dead, today half of the other one is dead now aswell, although the true leaves look ok...what do you think the prob is..?

Cotyledons always fall off. Sometimes seedlings grow slowly. I keep mine in a humidity dome, and they seem to like it. Seedlings are putting a lot of their energy into making roots so they can make leaves later. There's probably a lot of growth going on that you just can't see yet. Be patient. Good luck.

yeh thanks i will be patient.Cant put a pic up but the medium is potting compost and perlite ,ph 5.5 which is slightly low but i have limed my big pots up to 6.4 so they will get transplanted into a better ph when the time is right.I have started seedlings off fine at 5.5 before. The run off ec is 0.50 so its ok to i think.I think maybe i need to be patient here like the dude says peace

different plants have different sensitivities for less than ideal conditions. use some baking soda maybe to try and up the ph. but yeah seedlinghood is rough. give it a couple days i guess.

Not your fault just a dud seed in the order. Kind of like a runt in the litter.
