It was root damage whatever caused it.Bleach.piss,falling over for any reason can damage the terminal stem. Putting a bamboo stake through its heart will do it also.
Whatever caused death to that caused it straight away you can tell by how green the dead leaves are..it was running healthy right up to the time of death.
SOME ONE CALL IN THE NCIS. sorry bout that..it really sucks to watch something die you've put months into.

@ AimAim, cat pis can strip paint of walls lol.
Granted it's nasty shit, or piss rather, but nothing to compare to Clorox.

Drink a shot of cat piss and you go down as a legend in a Fraternity. Drink a shot of Clorox and you go down 6 feet via the Emergency Room.

No fan of cats, or cat piss, but no comparison to Clorox.

There is her dying picture. She did have a cat crap in her a few weeks ago, but I got it out and took extra soil to be sure and bleached around the area. I was reading about Fusarium. Can this be transmitted from cat poo??
There's your answer, take your pick either one but from the looks I would say bleach...JAS

You guy's I must have been stoned pretty damn good all week to have missed that, Face palm.
And then to even get the ph acidity level backwards, shit I better put this herb away for a couple of day's.
I failed in this thread miserably so now I'll just slink away quietly.

Yeah I was amazed it went 4 days and 19 posts before someone (myself) picked up on the word bleach.

Couple true first person stories on the killing power of bleach:

1) I know a guy who had a bacteria problem in a private household well. Upon recommendation of the state DNR he dumped a half gallon of Clorox down his 600' deep drilled well to kill the bacteria. He was told to purge the system by running water through until the chlorine taste went away. He did the purging by running his lawn irrigation system, and outright killed his entire lawn overnight. A week later is was a brown moonscape.

2) A friend of mine super-shocked his outdoor pool with some chlorine compound in the heat of the summer. The vapors off the water burned and half-defoliated 5 white pine trees that were about 15' away downwind.

Anyway chlorine bleach is a known killer of vegetation and should never get in the root zone of any plant.
