1 CFL + 8 Clones =

Looks like Bud to me.

So to make a long story short, I ended up with 8 clones (actually clones of clones) with no where to go. So I changed out the 125w 6500K with a 250w 2700K to see what would happen. First picture was taken 8/2.

i don't mean to sound like a dick...and i am probably coming off as one but this is my opinion...
i'm assuming you posted this thread to prove that you grew 8 plants with 1 cfl...and dont get me wrong it looks nice a good fucking grow!
but i'm just a little sceptical. is it possible you can get a piccture so we can see that its actually a cfl and not a hps or somthing along those lines?

i started off with that because i knew from what i was going to say, that i was going to sound like one. thats your opinion and i have mine. ive just seen way to many arguments happen because of someone bragging about a shit load of plants with one cfl...and im not saying you are(but you probably think i am anyways) but i would like some crarification.

Nothing wrong with that! Looks like a nice lil set up for someone looking to keep theirselves medicaded.
Its deff possable, I used my vegg light as side lighting this grow and there are nice size buds where ther would have been none.
+ rep for sharing knowing you would be bashed and all the trolls would come out just to say bullshit.

i was chatting with another member and he said he wanted to see pics so rather than just send to him I decided to post instead.

Actually i did not think I would be called out although it did cross my mind. Makes me feel even better that the grow is unbelievable.

FWIW these were 8 clones that were never going to make it to the Flower CAB, and I just could not throw them away so i just topped them and put them right into flower.

This little exercise has shown me the importance of flowering mature plants, as these clones were taken off of clones that were taken off plants from a 3/31 start, so by the time i started flowering them they were in essence almost 6 months old, and showing pre flowers even prior to starting 12/12.

i think it makes sense because after all, its a 250w cfl.. its going to be a lot stronger than those 23w CFLs or 40, etc.. and for the results, they look great and actually believable.. the lower buds arent as big, but the top buds are lookin really nice
I'm not sure if it stacks up to a 250w HPS, but maybe 150w or 100w HPS equivalent maybe? Just a guess.. no real lumen research done.

Good grow man.. have you sampled any yet? How many weeks are left?

so the plants essentially as they were on 8/2 were tossed right into flower and the results are those giant sumbeyotches. Well done. How's the bud density? BTW, did I say well done.

I really just threw them in the Cloning cab not expecting much.

The buds are almost as tight as their "Mothers" under a 400w HPS.

No need to sample as I got alittle over 8oz off the gen 0 crop.

I am convinced these did so well because they are Clones of Clones and did very little growth once into 12/12.

These have any where from 2-4 weeks left. FWIW their grand mothers went almost 16 weeks flower, these will finish in half the time.

B.S. the light in the last photo is a HPS....
Riddle me this Batman...... If that is an HPS (which it is not) then why arn't they burned to a crisp, thats a plain reflector running like an inch off the tops.

I'm even more pleased now that 2 people think it's BS

that is a cfl, u can see the shape of it in the picture, i got the same ones as this lad, im using 2 125w cfl's for 4 plants, same shape as this kids. if u have ten 25w bulbs for one plant u stil only have the same amount of lumens and usable light that just one 25w bulb, except the light is spread around the plant and seeing as a plant is evolved to make the most out of light, one 125w putting out bare lumens is cushty for ur plant, get so many idiots on this site just copying what other people say and saying that u need tons of cfls touching every leaf of the plant, erm.... no mate...... in the wild there is only one fucking light source that puts out similar lumens to a 125w, yet there isnt just one leaf is there, propper pisses me off.

@Smithyboi LOL @ calling me kid, my first Grow was in 1969.

I tried the 12 CFL route on my first Gen 0 runts, they both turned out to be males but the heat from 12 CFls was ungodly. I picked up the 250W when I relizied that my gen 3 clones were never going to see the flower cab. I've tried everything but LED and until I see some one like Stone Sour, do with LED what he did with CFLs I won't use or reccomend LED.

After I harvest these I am going to try something really wild, stay tuned I love to experiment.

small CFL's seem wasteful to me more and more as time goes on. I'm learning my lesson early (and paying for it), there's no substitute for the big wattage. If it doesn't take a long 1" wide tube or require a mogul socket you're probably using the wrong lights. I started with small CFL's and it cost me more in the short run on bulbs alone to have purchased a proper T5 or Mogul socketed fluorescent. My 150w HPS was <100 bucks and makes 10x the light that the largest medium socket CFL makes.

So LED, nah. I'll pass. Besides.. the only data I've seen about the result is long internode distances, fluffy buds and very light harvest weights.
