Is there ANYTHING I can do to better my odds?

I took one of the seeds and bit it very lightly until I could hear the structure of the shell crack a bit, hoping this would give it a helping hand to pop open.

I paid a lot of money for these fucking things ya know, I hope my ratio turns out better than 1:7

Usually after 48hours if they're going to germ, they germ right?

seeds can take a looong time to germinate. but usual germination time is 3-7 days.

dont worry too much though, i had a seed germ after a month and a half that i had completely forgotten about, lol

no man it can take up to 10 days usually for me they take 3 - 4 days, i bought some messed up seeds once that didnt sprout untill 12 days!!! but they sucked and I threw them away, just let them be they will sprout

what kind u got by the way?

how are you germinating them what method? cracking the shell in you mouth it a very bad idea, way to many microbes in you mouth that can hurt the embryo. if you suspect a thick husk use sand paper to rough it up a little that will aid in water pennetration and germination. i made the same mistake not to long ago. also ive never tried it but i hear that H2O2 can help with germination, first by killing those microbes and it also releases free O2 atoms.

Lets hope so!
I got 13 AK47 (they sent me 3 extra)

And 14 (they sent 4 extra) of their grab bag thing. A mix of purple, white widow, white russian, avalacnce, and big bug

I germd 7 inside wet paper towel like usual. And I just put all the rest in a little peatmoss germinating green house I bought. It's specially made for germing seeds. And I bought bottled water for the germ green house too, just to be on the safe side.

I got some HQ White Widow germinated within 12 hours, sprouted out of the soil 24 hours after me first putting them in between paper towel. Best damn seeds i ever brought.

Just wait it out. Some seeds take longer to activate. Sometimes its a good idea to roughen up the seed with some sanding paper lightly, and soak them in a paper cup for 24 hours. But i never do any of these, and have had 100% germination rates (not including bag seed).

but i guess if you wanted to hit it up you could scarify the shell a bit... i dont know about 'cracking' em, lol, but scratch a bit so it will imbibe water fater

dont use paper towels. they contain bleach that can kill the plants before they even sprout. use a shop cloth or something low in ink, dye, and bleach

good call on the paper towels cash, i didnt realize they had bleach in em, i noticed ur location was cleveland, ohio! so is mine!!

Fuck putting them in paper or rags...

I have an almost 100% success rate with my method.

Drop all the damn seeds you want in a glass of water...when they are getting close to germing they sink and usually the next morning you will see some tap roots....

Then what you do is drop them in your little planting cubes or stick them in soil whatever.

So I just did what you said. I took 5 out of the paper towels and dropped them in a cup of water and they immediately sank. So I took them out and put em back in the paper towel

if u have a heated water bed and are using the paper towel method just put them under the mattress. all my seeds germ in 12 or less hours doing that.

If they sink leave them in the cup with water......The tap roots will show soon :blsmoke:

My seeds always germ within 24-48 hours this way
