Very ambitious. I am not going to be a nay sayer and I wish you the best of luck.
I am subbing this thread for 2 reasons...obviously I am interested in seeing the outcome of your planning. Secondly I am AMAZED that even though it is less than 24 hours old...it has not attracted a sea of trolls.
Before you start your first grow, Please learn what a paragraph is.
Maybe even some double spacing........ Thank you.
Before you start trolling...learn what an ellipses is. Also, capitalizing after a comma?

Also you are not saving any time with auto's. You can grow out a photo just as quick, the difference is you have control over photos. They normally take longer because people veg them longer and train them for higher yields. They are also lower in THC than their photo counter parts due to being crossed with very low THC Ruderalis to get the auto flowering gene.
That's what I was getting at. Auto's all have schwag genetics in them. Whenever I see some ridiculous strain like Gelato Cookie Auto, I just shake my head. I would be straight embarrassed to even admit I was growing something like that.

Hey guys! New here just wanted some advice, totally apoligize if this thread is in the wrong group. So let me get to the point. Im looking to build a diy dwc for 4 plants, with proper genetics, environment etc im looking for 1.2Lb per plant using good nutrients and techniques. I have studied cannabis growth the entire 2020 because it went legal in my state Janurary 2020. On top of studying cannabis growth I also studied mushroom growing, now for most people im sure 1.2Lb sounds insane but its not I assure you. Im buying a 1500w led grow light, building a quality enviroment. Im looking to spend at least $3000 on a 4 plant grow. Im looking to really push the bar with autoflowers. And I will only be using strains with explosive yields. Now I did spend 2020 doing study everyday, Ive already read all the comments about starting your first grow small, but thats just not an option for me. I have already purchased the full spectrum light and will be including bagged c02. For all the vet growers. Has anyone ever seen 1.2lb per auto? Dwc, proper tenting, beastly lighting, co2, quality nutrients, good recirculation, proper care etc. Just really curious because one side of the internet says they have grown autos for years and average a few ounces or less, while the otherside talks about autopounders are the way of the mando lol
Ok first off 1.2# per plant means each plant will take a 4x4 space and must be trained properly. Not impossible. But With autos it is impossible. Autos do what they want. Seed by seed. You cant know the strain and/or clone it for exact copies. First step ditch autos if you want big yields and grass worth burning. I suck. Im no pro but been playing in dirt long enough to know whats realistic. Find you good photo female. Hack her up n run clones. Ive monstercropped and wall to walled a 4x4 with one plant yield suffers wasted space.

I was joking around with my comment above but this person needs to ditch the autos for sure. Also these new growers with the> try to yield as much as possible and how much do you think I can yield posts? are getting a bit much. If those are the first things about growing you're concerning yourself with, you're growing for all the wrong reasons. Learn about indoor gardening environments(most important), plant sciences, get some runs under your belt then you can start wondering about yields. There so many variables that comes along with plant yields, it's not a "set in stone" type thing.

LOL, that is good advice. I have 4 plants and have cut down one so far. It is in a dry tent for last 10 days and I have trimmed and jarred half of that in past 3 or 4 days. Someone asked me yesterday how much it weighed in at so far and I said "I don't know, just filling more jars, I have not weighed it." Does the weight really matter when it's for personal use? This is half of 1 of my 4 plants, what does it weigh, who cares.

Ya a have fairly decent sized grow at my house. Sealed flower room, co2, mini split. The first thing I concern myself with is the quality of the genetics I'm running( vigor, potency, appeal- trichome production/coloring, smell) then think on yields.

I'm bag appeal , potency, taste and smell
I have smoked some great weed that didn't have rich production on par with all these cookie and glue crosses
but Chem never did

I think all growers what those things but I would personally put bag appeal at the end of that list. At the end of the day I want to smoke it, not stare at it so bag appeal would be the first think I would sacrifice but it is still on the list. The one I am trimming now doesn't look too bad.

Well, this thread took off.

@OP Now that you have quite a few replies, what is your new plan, what genetics do you think you'll use and what nutrients are going into your mix?

This will be your....first.....grow?

(Assuming it is.....and remembering all the mistakes I made)

Keeping the seedling alive is where I have my main issues. My last run I drowned alot of seeds and no one is perfect so we all have had to learn from mistakes.

I work in soil mixes because I found the soil to be more forgiving than hydro and Lord knows I need all the safety buffer available.

Go to Autoflower.net, Mephisto section. Hubbabubbasmelloscope and SODK have gotten over 12 oz on a single grow. The Reddit/Mephisto has a leaderboard Soil/Coco/DWC and you will see some big girls.
