I have found that 2.5' - 3' is the perfect vegetation depth with HIDs. Now by that I mean the light will penetrate down that far and those buds will be developed enough to not be a waste trimming later. So you can either grow them exactly 2.5-3' tall or go taller and trim, "lollipop" , them up so that the top vegettion conforms to that depth. The advantages of going taller and lollipopping are increased airflow under the canopy, bigger root system for more nutrient intake, and eaiser maitenance if spraying for mites etc. The disadvantages are larger footprint , harder to prevent mold and spray, and smaller roots.

You should expect the plant's final height to be 40-60% taller when switched over to flower.

Some people do it, I tried it once and got 6 males out of 6. Coincidence, maybe but I wont be doing that again.

lol just jumping in.

sure that should last until it roots grow but you wont take it harvest with just that.

Wait are you talking about a clone bought from a store that already has roots? if so you will need at least 150-200 cfl watts to get a decent harvest.

theres a thread on it in advanced maurijauna section, try the search button, short veg vs long veg. youll find tha most people agree 3-4 weeks veg is ideal

Short veg like that, won't give you 1/2 pnd wet weight, with 30 plants. Large,1 pnd or better crops, require vegging, even with auto flower. They also require space to do it in. This is common with new growers they read 500 gram weight, in the seed bank catalogues. So they figure they can grow pounds worth in a small 9 inch pot and 5 by 9 closet it simply ain't gonna happen, Ive seen dozens of pro comercial grows, toured and spent time checking them out over the years. To achieve a big healthy crop you need to come out of the closet!!!!!!!

As for grebreros, yes it is if its in the process of cloneing or growing roots. If you have transplanted it and started veg then no.
