For what it’s worth, the seeds produced from those hermie plants you just killed off would have still produced both product, and feminised seeds for future grows. Hermied plants are not always a genetic issue.

I generally shoot for 18”x18” from the soil. But that is just me. I would rather grow 4-5 big plants that fill a 4x4 than a bunch of smaller ones.

Well, I never tried it before, and this was the only time I’ve seen pistils 4 days from flip. The other 2 times took 5-7 days to see any.
