For an 8x8 I would use 4 , 400watt lights. One over each 4x4 space I think that would be an awesome set up myself, I'm just starting to learn about cobs but if your going to go led read read read watch videos read some more and make a diy light but for an 8x8 it a going to cost an arm and a leg.

All a plant needs to flower is at least 12 hours of in interrupted darkness...

Heat has nothing to do with flowering I mean ideal temps make for ideal flowering but in Canada where I'm from they flower outside and we have frosty mornings in late season and they still flower just fine...

So it would be a better option to just spend more and get the hlg 185 1400 and run 4?

I just use 1 gallon of medium to .5 gallon of perlite. Its really your own preference. You don't even technically need perlite it definitely helps though!

I've grown them from cropking for 2 years and they do stretch a bit, they always go moldy on me(outside) so I'm not growing them again but they grow beautifully.

Height shouldn't be an issue I can tie the down if need be but I will have a comfortable 5 feet to the light. And I will likely clone 10 each week and the fastest 3 will make it

I use substra Vega a,b for veg and it works great, nutes are just salt that the plant uses to grow so the type doesn't overly matter just the proper amount imo.

They look really good rockwool holds a lot of water so it's easy to over water them. Take it slow and let them grow also do you have a nute lined up? The oldest are gonna need it soon.

First thing you should be worried about is the absolute mess your grow room is in. To achieve maximum yields everything has to be perfect and the mess in there is just asking for bugs. But to answer your question 1-2 oz maybe 3 if everything goes right.
