You should always calculate by volume, Say if you have a 2l column volume 1600/1800 ml should do the trick, any more and youre realy just asking to extract more undesirables due to longer contact time. I find my extracts come ut best when the material was just about shown the solvent.

How certain of that are you? Ive read certain oils and waxes can indeed be vaporized at around 200C. Moreover Id imagine having more impurities in the boil with the rest of what you wish to fraction could perhaps play an effect on the color?

Have u tested for residual butane? I could never get shit to wax up unless i messed around with it half purged, and heat for prolongued periods of time. Ive used same material to make oil and wax, I can be done with the shatter purge in around 4 to 6 hours and the wax will take me at least 36h...

The best dry fist tip anyone will ever give you is let your plants cure for a good 4 to 6 months at 10/12 c. The glands will just fall off. The quality will be extremely strain dependant but the cure in cold is what really helps.
