Try vacuum purging it to remove the rest of the alcohol, its pretty likely that's why your extract is still sticky.

Looks a little oily, you might have trouble getting that to wax up.

Only time i've ever got a burnt flavor in my wax is when i decarbed my material in the oven prior to extraction. Never did that again lol :roll:

You can evap your alcohol on parchment but it works much faster if you fold the parchment in such a way that it has a border on all 4 sides, that way your parchment paper is flat but can still hold your alcohol.

Did you add the brine along with the alcohol? Because the alcohol-hexane separation is a step before the saline wash.
