im sure you can chop it now. im also sure you could wait a week and see if it makes a nice frostier fatter difference. It probably will. Mine always do. but it does look ripe to me if you desire the cut you've earned it. Like i said you could chop or give a week the choice is yours.

Its fine you are able to trim roots but keep in mind that this will stress the plant so the more you cut the more your plant will b stressed

PH test solution and "ph up" and "ph down". This you can get at the hydro store (comes all together in a pack for under $20)... maybe the pet store would have something to let you check ph but i havn't seen it.

a cheap thermometer for the water and usually an aquarium heater that you can set to a specific temp is neccesary. (both at pet store maybe even walmart)

So if i read this right you say you never turn off your ventilation fan and are constantly injecting CO2. Have u done a run without the co2 and then with and uve seen an improvement? And/or have u measured the ppms while your tank was running. And how long does your co2 tank last doing this. thanks
