    What is this bug?

They seem to be held down by the sand but a few are afloat when I water.. They don't seem to be of a concern, I assume they are soil bugs from the buffalo compost I use (Buffaloam, good shit)

    I dont think thats normal..

Your stem is thickening! Its just shedding because its growing, ride it out.. Like Baka said transplanting from soil > hydro can shock a plant, its a different medium

Fungus Gnats: The one treatment solution is.....

Yup, it contains Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis heard 'gnat maxx' is pretty new, but any stuff with it would work pretty good as a bio agent, as long as its organic/made for non-toxic in the end hah! cheers

    What is this bug?

It is like .1-.5mm long.. I really doubt it is baby cricket, I see no cricket eggs or adult crickets, no pest plant damage on my plants. Literally do look like 'small white lice' from a semi distance It is the middle of winter here.. 0 below, so not very many pest problems to worry at all.... i...

    What is this bug?

They show up only when I water and they stay in the soil and do not crawl up the pot edges or the stem of the plant it seems, so they are not harming the plant at all, I assume they are just feeding on the dead organic materials in the soil, which is okay.. I'm thinking I should just put sand on...

    What is this bug?

I think it is a beneficial insect.. it is very small, is clear-white, the picture was taking with a 3.15 MP x4 zoom camera with a 20x scope, the insect is small.. smaller than a grain of rice as big as this period . Just want to know exactly, I can't nail it on a springtail but ugh, any...

Day 47 Veggin' Been awhile since I've updated just been waiting! I transplanted plant 2 recently a week ago into its new pot to see how it goes, and it has been growing beastly, I have kept plant 1 in the mean time in the smaller pot to see how it fairs, it is still growing but I am going to...

    first grow(mystery seeds not included)

You got a few pictures to compare? Sometimes I can't even tell after a few days, get all worried and then wait its all normal lol. I'd say to double check the temps to check for sure. 90 seems crazy high, but I think they stop really growing past 95F, not so sure why yours are not growing, maybe...

Woot, got my 150w HPS light today, 6" from top of plant! Now figuring out where to place some more CFLs on the side, gotta jimmy rig up some more kleenex lights lol! :leaf:

    first grow(mystery seeds not included)

Yea! I am afraid of the light burn too, but I think it is pretty much 'impossible' for CFL's to burn unless they are touching. I might of had mine a bit too close once and the leaves felt dry/crispy almost, not exactly what distance to keep 23w's at, I have them at 3-6 inches~

    Ucmans first ever grow

I am using 23w (100w equiv) ecobulb daylight (6500k) @ 1600 lumens per, any hardware store! Just max out the lumens you can find, I have 2 per plant, and 2 in the back with a reflector. I might had another one batch of CFLs on the front side after I receive my 150w HPS. I am also sticking to...

    first grow(mystery seeds not included)

Ah, I get mine super close, CFLs drop off quickly.. This is my first grow about 21 days in and I have no idea what strain other than it being so freaking bushy, which I read is a good thing because they double/triple during flowering. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be all males, hermie is...

Are those 100equivs? so they are 23w or true 100w? can't tell from the pics, but I'd say bring them way closer to the plants! Do you have an oscillating fan in there (Im sure your fans work just fine though)? I set mine brushing over the plants back and forth, seems to be great to keeping the...

I wanted more light to the lower part before I actually transplanted them into 3 gallon pots The plants are a bit bushy, should I back off on the lights to...
