LEDs, Peak, Dominant - What Wavelength?

Thank you kindly for the reply and information. Question: When looking at commercial LED Lights, they use 470 NM. However the CREE ones on ledgroupbuy.com are 465-485NM http://www.ledgroupbuy.com/cree-xp-e-blue Would this be suitable / OK? Or would a 475 be better than 465-485? See...

LEDs, Peak, Dominant - What Wavelength?

Thank you for the reply. Would you suggest multi-coloured diodes? I see at times ones with a 700, 600 and 500 spectrum? Not really sure if those are also legit. I was planning 1 LED light for Veg and 1 for Bloom, so primarily Blues for Veg, and then a mix for Flower. So when I specifically...

LEDs, Peak, Dominant - What Wavelength?

Hey Folks, I am trying to build my own LED light, and am a bit confused about peak / dominant and base wavelength. If I want a 660NM, should I try to find one that specifically is 660NM or one that is 640-660? Or 470 or 465-485? I am having trouble finding ones exactly at the required NM...

Jackberry, 11 weeks and still no amber trichs?

Thanks for all the feedback, folks! Most of the trichs are still clear! Craziness for me. During the start of veg I was playing with PH and mangled them but they recovered and grew to my plants today. No issues during flower or from mid-way thru veg. I have a purple pheno killing fields, big...

Jackberry, 11 weeks and still no amber trichs?

Hey folks, Title says it all.. can't figure it out. Every report I've read, include from Sannie himself, around 55-65 days. I'm nearing 80 since start of 12/12. Even cut the light cycle to 8 hours last week. They are fat shrubs, but ffs... I want to dry and cure! Any clues? They are under 300w...

Thanks a lot, Medical Mike. Kudos to you. Much appreciated. I didn't PH test for that watering either, so that would make a lot of sense. I thought PH 7 for veg?

Veg - Fan Leaves Look Cut in Half?

Thanks, Medical Mike. Yeah it is a weird one! You'd think more plants would show signs. But it isn't the case. The other one got banged up good during my first feeding. 'tis sad too, she looked like she was going to be the biggest. Hoping she recovers in the end.

Veg - Fan Leaves Look Cut in Half?

I don't think so. I can't spot anything and I've checked thoroughly. I have neem oil but I don't think it is a bug issue. Here are some photos.

Veg - Fan Leaves Appearing Cut Off?

Hey! I don't have a photo yet... Sorry! But I'm on the 3rd week of veg and my plants are looking sexy. But two have a few sets of leaves which have grown only to the half-way point, and haven't developed a tip (think of a spade, go from the bottom and at the midway point, cut it off, so the...

Veg - Fan Leaves Look Cut in Half?

Hey folks, I don't have a photo yet, but will take one... However I can't find anything on this as each time I search it keeps finding topics related to trimming/cutting fan leaves. My question and possible issue is.. Some of the leaves on two of my plants look cut in half. But nobody has cut...
