    Plz help! Need experienced advice

At 60+watts/sq ft, you should do just about that if everything goes about perfect. IMHO, I would cut the # of plants in 1/2, you're yield is totally dependent on your lights, not the # of plants. It would be much easier to manage 12 plants, especially if any problems arise. From my experience...

    Nutrients + Res question

As a general rule, I was taught a minimum of 7gal/plant is best. You'll have less ph drift & easier to manage. Much depends on size of pots, but you'll be safe with that #.

    Nutrients and Addatives

I've been using Botanicare PB & PB Pro for over 20 years, only suppliment cal/mag & liquid kharma. Don't like how it mucks up the system, have to filter water & keep things clean, but it's what I know & and have confidence in it as it's always been consistant. Did try GH many years ago using...

    What's My Problem (pics)

New York City Diesel, grew it several times many years ago so very familiar with - used it for test run with 4 pots before ramping up to 12. I'm looking forward to flowering the Blackberry that's in the flower room now.

    What's My Problem (pics)

I've been taught that temps that low in a hydroponic system will cause slower growth. I never did any research on the issue, but my mentor Krusty was always adamant about water temps, and I don't know anyone that ever came close to his results, so I assumed it made a difference. Now Krusty is...

    Need help on lights...

A lot depends on the room size & your ability to air cool light. I have several friends who love 600w lamps, there's threads here devoted to 600's. I personally use 1000's, as able to keep very cool, and nothing has better canopy penetration. I use MH bulbs for veg & HPS for flower. If you...

    Scroggin blackberry in wilma pots

I'm currently growing blackberry in a hydro top drip system. Here's a pic from day 29 of veg, very fast grower, although have to keep veg under 24/7. This strain wants to flower under less! Seems to like the nutes, using Pure Blend Pro, Cal/mag, & liquid kharma. Last nute mixture at 1100ppm's.

I would also try to keep your res closer to 70-72 degrees. 65 is a little to cold.

Small Flies on my Plants! HELP

I grow in hydroton stone, you'll still get gnats, important to control, they can damage roots if they get out of control. Go Gnats works well, just top spray your medium 1x/week. I also put a sticky trap on in the pot, as well as hanging around the plant. If they get bad, the best product is...

    Leaf problems, top and bottom.

You should get a ph tester, even the cheap strips are much better then guessing. I've never used OT, so I can't say how much it buffers, but I do use Botanicar Pure Blend, also organic, and it knocks ph down as low as 4.2 when first added! You're soil will also buffer, but it's best to know...

    Blackberry - day 28 veg

Here ya go thirtyshort; Here's a few pics of the modified GH Mega Farm, and a pic of the original Krusty/Freedom Bucket that I copied the design from. On the inside you can see I drill many more holes includeing 4" up the sides. Increase of drain plug with filter, and I epoxied the air...

    Blackberry - day 28 veg

This is the second run, although made a couple modifications to the pots. Here's a pic from the "test run", (did only 4 pots) on day 39 of flowering. The strain is NYCD, hard to get a good shot because of the intense lighting. Basically, I drilled 2 - 3/4"drain holes on either side of the pots...

    Leaf problems, top and bottom.

What's your nutrient formula? Can you list what the ppm & ph of the water you're using? Is water RO? If so, are you using cal/mag?

Small Flies on my Plants! HELP

You should have yellow sticky traps from the beginning of your grow, they will help keep things under control.

    Blackberry - day 28 veg

Ducting really isn't that complex, all the fans, ballasts, controls, on second floor. All ducts have intake/exaust fans, including the vertical (filtered fan under floor). A little overkill, but when I measure temps of hood glass, able to maintain under 85 degrees. Here's a pic of my water...

    Blackberry - day 28 veg

Don't find any need. I have a large 12" filtered fan that pushes fresh air into the room 24/7. There's at least 10lbs of positive air pressure, when you open the door, have to be careful it doesn't smack you in the face! I've been schooled to believe that you only need co2 when air temps...

    Blackberry - day 28 veg

Thanks mijola3! All the lamps are 1000w, digital ballast, currently running at 75%. As I don't have my "veg" room completed yet, the overhead lamps are MH, the vertical are HPS. Once I flip, I'll change out the overheads to HPS also. Working on the veg room now, will have 6, 600w lamps over...
