It sounds like your doing it right, I'm not sure what to tell you. I would go with bigger pots and also repot earlier to make sure roots have time to grow to their full potential (more roots = more fruits).
Thinking about only 30" between screen and light I'm thinking you may be better off in...
don't buy a prebuilt led panel, either build a diy cob led panel (spend a few days in the led section here and you can learn everything you need to know) or stick with hid. I built a couple cob panels and they're great (and they have better cobs now since I've built mine). You could also look...
What medium and how often are you flooding? How long do you veg and do you fill your screen? If your ending up with a full screen you should be getting at least double what you are. Also do you veg in place or do you put them under the screen at flip? If your not vegging under the screen then 4...
Well AllenHaze, I don't see how going organic will do anything about my gnat problem, care to elaborate?
Unless someone chimes in with some real advice I think I'll keep up the daily neem sprays and give em a weekly Bayer advanced treatment just before I do my rez changes until I'm sure...
I've been fighting gnats for about 3 years now, using mosquito dunks(BTI) to keep them under control and hydroguard and pondzyme for beneficial bacteria (I'm in flood trays in case your wondering). Well anyway, shit went sideways cuz I wasn't on top of it and I got root rot AND gnat population...
I've had plants in veg get gnats and root rot and it stressed them out enough to go into flower (twice), but never clones. When it happened instead of trying to save them I cut clones and scrapped them, clones reverted back to veg and did fine.
If you just want the ballast then this is the cheapest I've found- http://depotlighting.com/iztmh210315rlfm-p-6976.html
If you want the kit use the 1st link Blue brother gave you (doesn't include reflector)
Dyna Gro Foliage Pro isn't made for foliar feeding (spraying on the leaves), it's a nutrient like any other meant to be mixed in your res. That being said, there's no reason you can't use it to foliar feed. You can use ANY nutrient to foliar feed if you like.
Other than clearing up the confusion...
1. yes. works fine
2. side by side
3. 5x5
4. yes
5. either way will grow bud, maybe get a 1000w dimmable and try it each way and see what works best for you
Took Supra 3 weeks (I'd already asked) but I got mine in just under 2 weeks
The rail idea sounds good, I'm planning on using plywood since I have some lying around but may look into the rails instead.
Hopefully this weekend I'll have time to get a light built, had all the parts for a week...
I'm sure my pumps and other fans make more noise than they will so I'm not too worried about them being silent, but I would like to get all 11 of them on one power supply, or at the most no more than 2 power supplies per 11 fans. Thanks for the links Supra, You've been a tremendous help (and...
I haven't used any of those bulbs but this thread can tell you all about using the colored bulbs: https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/358190-led-without-leds-my-first.html
Or save yourself some reading and just ask Petflora, he was active on that thread and is still active here on the forum
I got an 8 bulb I've had for about 2 years. Rarely use more than 4 at a time though and I'm phasing it out with led. It does put out a lot of heat (a lot more than I thought when I bought it), but leaves have to actually touch the bulb to burn at all. What Hyroot said sounds about right. Any...
You didn't miss anything, I'm just learning as I go and sticking with what is suggested by people who already know what they're doing (Supra in particular). A pc power supply is definitely an option as long as it's a good, efficient, and inexpensive option. I was under the impression that they...
Now that you've tested some do you have one you'd reccommend that would power 11 80mm fans? (the Arctic Alpine cpu coolers, same ones Gaius used-would link it but I'm posting from my phone) I've got most everything to do the build except a way to wire up and power the fans. (Oh, and my fasttech...
You could just run a dedicated circuit for your 1000 watt light and maybe a fan or 2. You'd just have to check the breaker box and see if you have a spot to add one and then it's just a breaker, some romex and an outlet to plug it into. (you could also run it from the dryer outlet if your...
