so pretty much if you gonna be using the same room veg/flower a dimmable would be nice but i'm pretty much gonna keep a continual grow going so since i wont really wanna change the light down cause some flowers will be in last couple weeks of flowering it be better to just use a normal ballast...

but as for that dimmable ballast you can turn down the light if its getting to hot i guess or turn it up when you want more... from what i have seen on threads that it usually burns a bulb out quicker but i dont know such as get a 600w dimmable ballast can run the 600w light at 400w... 1k at 600w

i dont personally want one but i have read a few post here in there say they love them i just wanted 120/240v seems most come that way as is.. as for the light im just got w/ the 1kw from there its about 175$ for the setup and that should ensure i have enough light for 8 plants in about a 6'x6'...
