    I <3 Corporate Greed

I thoroughly enjoyed this discussion, however it has come to my attention that I no longer care. I am sick and do not feel like arguing anymore. Therefore, I officially stop arguing. Starting.......... NOW.

I have an issue with poverty, I dont have an issue with wealth. Wealth does not cause poverty, a broken system causes poverty. There can be wealth without poverty, but only if we learn to solve certain long standing social, and legislative issues.

Please see previous responses to other posters. Just because you didn't like one response to one of your post, doesn't mean you can magically reduce all of my arguments to nothing. I'll respond constructively if you control your powerful sense of metaphor.

No I'm not blind to it, and thank you for keeping on topic. I have no issue with opposing arguments, I cant argue without them. But if I have no idea what the other person is trying to say, like if theyre switching between a misappropriated cake metaphor and direct argument, then I cant argue...

    I <3 Corporate Greed

I'm appalled at the lack of fact in your statement, although I do love an entertaining work of fiction. You are simply mistaken. A corporation does not necessarily need to block competition, in fact only certain corporations even can block competition. You are talking about a unique kind of...

I think that we're pretty much on the same page. I just think that an absolute position, always more government or always less government, is dangerous. Its all about having the precise application of government.

So.... whats your solution? or whats your opinion? Your post is just information without anything to respond to.

Yeah, the government played favorites. The government is a separate thing from the economy.

    I <3 Corporate Greed

I agree with you here. The economy isn't a thing that can play favorites. Its a collection of information. The economy is the entities.

Why do you take the increasingly common viewpoint that corporations prey on the common people? "The corporations" are not a group of sadistic hyenas, eager to devour the american people. They are more like fat kids. You don't put all of the blame on the child, it goes to the ineffective...

Just because you can make an analogy between guns and loans, doesn't mean you should. This is one of my two favorite comments so far. Thank you, deprave, for this opposing response. I look forward to having a civil back-and-forth with you. To respond to your post, I most certainly do...

    I <3 Corporate Greed

Let me start by clarifying, I think that corporate greed is good, but only if the government is effective in correcting the free market system's shortcomings. Banks may have made choices that led to our economic downturn, but they were able to because of ineffective regulation and policy. I...
