Yeah, Ive done the CO2 bottles and a little home-brewing. Ive used brewers and distillers yeast several times to make drinks, but never had anyone tell me to use it in soil when talking about micbrobes. I thought it sounded a little odd.

Thanks, finally a reply! LOL I was reading just a bunch of stuff on google and it dont seem like a good idea. One site said something like the yeast will create CO2 and deprive roots of O2, which makes sense. I never had any intention to use any, I just wanted to know if this guy has any clue...

A guy at work told me the other day to use bakers yeast in my soil to make it "come alive". Does anyone know if this is true or a bunch of crap? Thanks.

I always constantly feed when using a recirculating system. Many run 3-4 segments a day of 15-30 minutes. Just b/c its verticle dont change how the plants and systems work, only the light hangs different.

Thanks man!!! Im running a Digilux 600w MH. I know most people flower with hps, but the numbers on this MH, other than lumens, destroys hps. If they get too big, I do have a Digital Plus 600w HPS I can add.

Its been a slow process trying to get things how they will work best with what I have, but Im built and fired up;-) Theres a Caramelo, some Urkle, Purple Wreck, CheeseQuake, Chernobyl, and NL#5. Its not the prettiest, but Im very impressed with how many plants can be covered by a single bulb!!!!

I did well at 18" or so. I think the plants on the perimeter actually did better than the ones directly under the light.

Thats kinda along the lines of what my buddy told me. I wasnt sure how common of a practice it is though. It goes against most things Ive read and heard but makes ponder the possibilities. Thanks.
