    Question About Lighting

HPS grows have been documented and have done well with ONLY an HPS. that's not to say you're a bit short changed on the veg a bit, so yes a split mh/hps would work as well. You seem so sure on the hps being a no, have you had any problems with an only HPS grow? I mean you can 12/12 from seed...

    Question About Lighting

Absolutely mate. The HPS can carry you all the way through to harvest :) where as the MH is not recognized as a good "spectrum" we'll say for flowering, only vegging, so if you're going to keep costs down, and get one light, go with the HPS. If you want, I believe I have some good lighting...

    Canoeing What Causes It?

I am also researching this phenomenon, had some fairly young ones do the same, for whatever reason they are straightened out now...I think it was because they were just getting acclimated to the sun. in some circles this is called "boosting?" I believe. I'd say for a deeper understanding read...

True Beginner / Poor Man's Grow

I have read that tin foil "can be" a bust for light retention/reflection b/c of the folds in the foil it can "intensify the light" to the point that it possibly could burn a whole in your baby. Not sure how many people have had if any troubles with foil other than random postings I have read...

Help with 2 Week Old Seedlings

Likewise here...18/6 and I see much better results the morning after a good night's rest for meh babies. I use most of the daylight for as long as I can then under cfl's to get them nice and mellow before going to bed...so far so good. Will also be transplanting later as well. GL

    First Time Growing. Chose Outdoors

P.S. ..if the tap r00t "HAS taken hold" ,if or when you do decide to try digging it up, DO NOT disturb it, as long as it's not buried too deep it'll do it's job.

    First Time Growing. Chose Outdoors

Hole in the seed?? o.O There should only be one opening and that's to let the tap root out when germinating...this small protrusion (Tap R00t) should be planted downward with the seed facing up. When the tap root gets a good hold on your medium or grow schtuff, it'll push that tiny little...

    Cfl Proximity To Foliage

Agreed, I use CFL's and solid white 5 gallon buckets for the sake of light retention/reflection all around the babies. Seems to do much better than the same amount of light hanging all around in a larger grow area or room. Light retention is one of MY key factors with cfl's and they work great...
