How Do I Move Plants in Freezing Weather

Appreciate the quick and useful advice. Dude showed up and cooled things with the landlord (owed $2600 rent). Glad I didn't have to move anything and take responsibility for something not mine. Looks like all is good now. Much appreciation all!

How Do I Move Plants in Freezing Weather

He's in a house, but I don't know the whole situation. He was supposed to get ahold of me two days ago, but he's vanished. I've been checking jail rosters to see if he's in somewhere (he did say he had a warrant), but can't seem to find him. Oh yeah, you can bet if I rescue him and put myself...

How Do I Move Plants in Freezing Weather

Cool. Hopefully I don't have to move em (not even my crop); buddy disappeared for past two days & his landlord been calling for last month's rent and this month's rent & saying she's going to change the locks if he don't pay, so I'm debating whether to throw a rescue & try to save his grow room...

How Do I Move Plants in Freezing Weather

Thanks craw. So you're thinking that as long as there's no frost, there should be no worries? So a minute or two in below freezing temps shouldn't effect the end output?

How Do I Move Plants in Freezing Weather

My main concern is whether the cold shock from indoors to van/truck would be too much considering how cold it is (even if movement takes less than 30 seconds). Will the growth be effected? Should the plants be wrapped in plastic before being put in boxes? Anything else important to save the ladies?

How Do I Move Plants in Freezing Weather

Largest is less than 2 feet, in soil. I'm mostly concerned about the shock of going from 75 F grow room through the 20-30 F outside temp (no attached garage or such); also must put in box or such for stealth purposes of course.

How Do I Move Plants in Freezing Weather

It may be necessary to move about 30 plants that are in third week of flowering from one location to another; unfortunately the temps outside are between 0 and 30 degrees F (-15 to 0 C). How is the best way to approach this?

    $10,000 Best Grow Room Ideas

I greatly appreciate the input! I have come to think I'll invest about $5K in my first operation, going with SoG: 4 trays with 16 plants each, about 5-7 mothers and 20 clones, hoping to put out at least a pound every 2 weeks (as per Al B. Fuct's thread). In the US, fedral mandatory minimum...

Get a Harvest Every 2 Weeks

SoG seems to be the way to fly considering cost/time and output (specifically for a one man show). Thanks for all the great info and very informative thread - I'll be following your model and post a journal or such once it's in action. Much appreciation Al B!

Get a Harvest Every 2 Weeks

Very good info, thank you Al. (And sorry about the hijack; damn noobs!) Is it possible to run your SoG system with something like the supercloset. I'm liking that unit because it is totally self-contained with seemingly everything it needs to run an op. But how would one implement the SoG...

    SuperCloset, Sea of Green

Johnny, I've spent the past 3 hrs reading hundreds of posts from your journals - I'm going cross-eyed. What I've not been able to discern is how much you're able to produce from your SuperCloset and how often the yield is produced. (Please excuse me if this was stated clearly in the thread and I...

Get a Harvest Every 2 Weeks

Very good point, daddy, thank you. What would be the most feasible - yet most output - one could expect to do on a solo basis? I have the $10K to invest, and considering different systems, looking for the least amount of work with the greatest output. SoG seems to fit the bill. Your...

Get a Harvest Every 2 Weeks

Omega sells the smaller Volksgarden, which holds about 80 plants. To properly do the SoG, I would think there would be need of four (i.e., the four different cycles of growing in the SoG system). Of course, to do so would require about $8G for the four cylindrical garden machines. 80...

Get a Harvest Every 2 Weeks

Al B, what do you think the feasability of running SoG with something like a cylindrical Omega Garden? Would I actually need 4 of the systems to properly make it work? Your thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

    $10,000 Best Grow Room Ideas

Most definitely, that's why I'm questioning and researching a couple months in advance. So when it becomes time for GO! it will just be a matter of A, B, C.... I do find it interesting the soil vs hydro debate that seems neverending. What's most imortant to me is which will be the easiest...

    $10,000 Best Grow Room Ideas

budf, in regards to your soil op, how many plants you running under the 8 lamps? How much work is required of you each day? And you state every 5 months you harvest, correct? Is that a little longer than most; I thought one could get a harvest about every 90 days (or is that more with hydro...

    $10,000 Best Grow Room Ideas

Excellent data, budf, thank you! Power consumption hasn't been a huge concern, but it doesn't hurt to cover all the bases. (I'm unfortunately not in Cali and not in a spot with medical permits yet, so being careful is the name of the game.) Is there a reason you prefer soil over hydro? I'm...

    Omega Garden

Grownnfine or Tokey, have you started with Omega Garden yet? Anyone out there actually running the $6K system with results? Would be interested in discussing specifics and finding out what works and what doesn't.
