Oxygenation, Air Pumps, Nutrient Uptake and Temperatures

Ya when I saw 45 I shivered but I assume they were trying to cover a bunch of plant types which is why they reiterated with 69 or 65- 75. I bet most beginners just let there nutrient solution warm with their lights and not even think of temping it. Which could lead to a bunch of other problems...

Oxygenation, Air Pumps, Nutrient Uptake and Temperatures

I was asking the advanced thread about their thoughts on a o2 experiment yet no one replied. ( Only been a day though) So that's why I am researching items pertaining to this. My thought is to enclose my air pumps in a oxygen rich environment. There fore increasing the o2 in my chamber. If...

    Experimental Oxygen

Ok I am just thinking out loud or out typing ... So I was hoping to get other peoples opinions on this. Most people use co2 for the plants but what about the roots, Can we modify the oxygen levels? Seeing roots use oxygen. ( of course), What do you think about sealing off a pot , soil and...

Need some advice on Drip Setup with soil guys

Going by the way this is worded. I assume you tend to your garden every day yet just do not want to carry water every day. If you are trying to come up with a non-automated system,( no timers etc etc) what I would in-vision is a appropriate capacity reservoir that is set up for gravity feed (off...

    Intake and outbound vent question

Thinking about setting up a new room. Question is .. I have sealed air cooled reflectors, Can I keep one end of my reflector open to use as a intake for dirty air instead of using another inline fan to cool the light? My vision is this... Keep one flange open and attach the inline fan to the...

    Co2 ????

You still need good ventilation to extract depleted co2 before new co2 is injected.

    Need Help ASAP!!!

In my opinion and I know everyone's is different.... 30 minutes is pushing to long. If they were mine I would switch to more floods a day at a less amount of time. Specially with that size of plant.

    Purple/black spots?

Let us all know how it turns out. Could just be the cheap nutes. Some off brands are pretty harsh no matter what numbers they stick on the jug. Much luck man.

    Purple/black spots?

Purple and or back spots usually is a sign of toxic buildup. Check or switch your nutrients would be my first opinion. If it the only plant that is doing it check the amount of nutes you are using for that particular gal. Also wondering is she that yellow in person or is that your camera?

    Need Help ASAP!!!

I read your whole journal . In the beginning it seemed you had unstable ph. Yet as time went by it seemed to stop swinging wildly. What is your water/nute schedule? Droopy plants can be from many different things. I would not think it is light because you are sporting the 1000 watter. Sounds...

    Co2 ????

Your lack of proper ventilation would be my major concern. Not only would you have smell issues but stagnant air will cause more problems than anyone can handle. Co2 will also raise your air temperature. Having a 400 w in a poorly ventilated space makes me think your temperature is on the high...

    what to do?

If you have easy access to them and seeing they are smaller. You could bring them indoor and back outdoors every 12 hours. Some peoples schedules allow them to do that. Just stick them in a ventilated closet for darkness and back out for light. No cfl's needed. Just one suggestion.
