Hey fellow RIU'ers..
In a previous life, I was on another site with my grow journals and got a lot of interaction with others who were engaged in the same scenario of growing. Lots of interaction/learning from folks doing the same thing I am.
Here, it seems my grow journal gets zero...
I have a 2x2x4 and am using a timber 200w citizen fixture. My first grow ran into heat issues but not because of the light but my box is in my garage and it was a hot summer. Still pulled 4.5oz of great smoke from the plants.
Great light. I'd recommend @RainDan and timber all day. Outstanding...
I like the concept! I'd find a place for that fan outside the box. I mounted mine in it's own box surrounded by sound proofing material. Because I'm evacuating air from such a small space, my fan speed is very low. The only sound I hear is air through the filter and it's quieter than the mini...
I know right?? It's like an ongoing feud that has nothing to do with anything and folks have forgotten they argued about the same issue last month. Just grow and be merry for goodness sake! :weed:
The topic is dead and shouldn't be resurrected imho.
and going and going and going and going and going and go.........
Perpetuated by those who love to argue. Just stopped by to confirm my suspicions that this was still going and going and....you get the idea. lol
I'd like to know why anyone takes this bait? No one is convincing anyone is anything so the conversation, like so many times before, is pointless.
No learning or healthy exchanges just unproductive drivel.
Peace out...
Yeah I've already got it and it's a great light. I'd rather stay with a cob just cause that's what I have so I'll give @RainDan a shout and see what he can work up for me to add some red-ish light. Thanks for all the help PrawnC.
I mean, pc fans aren't designed for significant loads, obviously. In my application, it stimulates a little airflow which is all I needed. For what I'm using it for, they work great but I wouldn't count on them for much.
I installed a pc fan over an intake vent in my box. Has usb plug and a speed controller. Cost like $12. Very quiet. I have 2 4" desk fans at floor level blowing up slightly. Creates a nice breeze.
