Wondering if I should still top a plant with incredibly tight inner notal spacing. I always have and I grow using SCROG.
Kind of wondering if I should not cause the stress of topping and use bending to promote side branching instead.
Sounds like an overabundance of N (to my friend). He says to be careful you don't end up with spindly, weak growth that accompanies N over-fertilization. He also has a caregiver license and is legal anyway :)
I also agree that if you don't live in an area where the power is out regularly and for an extended period of time you probably have to take no action.
Maybe the Mother's stressed so she's not giving good stock? High levels of N won't help the issue. I also have some C99's that are reluctant to give up the clone goods. It's taking a while, but I think it's going to work out.
Accidentally did Monster Cropping when I took clones off of the last batch (at 3 weeks flower) and they grew like bushes. Works great and can't wait to intentionally work this into the SCROG.!
6 weeks is just going to start smelling strong for your drive! I think it would be fine for two days in the dark if it had good ventilation and all. Something to think about though. I've read that keeping your lights on for 1 or two days (continuously) at week 5 causes "double-flowering" where...
Five weeks is longer than you'd want (ideally) for Monster Cropping, but it works! It will just take a while. Doing the same thing with a Cheese that's so far budded that everyday I think, "I should take that bud out of that pot and smoke it" but no mother or other clones, so what do you do?
Good luck man. Lots of us can relate. MJ is not right for everyone. You just have to see how it makes YOU feel. And realize that the effect is different every time.
