I feel obligated to post! NEVER run high power LEDs I.e 1-5w without a constant current driver. Using just resistors will cause the led and the resistor to overheat. As a resistor heats it's resistance decreases increasing the current across the led. Even if you increase the resistance to to...
Haha your findings I would agree with. It's not about lumens but par. Par is what plants eat to live on. The rest is just for us to take a better look ;)
That's a good plan. Aim for more realized thc rather than CBN. CBN can cause nausea and the dreaded washing machine affect if you made bubble hash or oil it would be quite an unpleasant buzz. Mind you I love sativas! Lol
Interesting!
My controllers don't have an earth wire on them but my metal chassis certainly does! That's electronics 101.
Funny design those controllers have it seems.
English is good and I'm on board with the topic. For those that know me, I'm a keen bean on building my own panels. Just ordered some multichip pcbs looking at making a grouped version for side lighting.
Haha ouch! I may give it a miss! It is common knowledge that interrupting girls night time creates hermies. Yet outdoor plants don't seem to phased by moonlight? Perhaps I'd you introduce the it trick from day 1 of flower it may not affect gender?
Interesting! I will have to agree. if you cut mains power then their should be no power! Did you check to make sure it doesn't just stay dimly lit for a short period of time? If it does lets say 10 minutes it may simply be filtering capacitors in the controllers discharging. But they would be...
Nice one! Good to see another micro programmer. Seems there's ALOT of Cluey people on RIU.
Temp control would reduce power consumption slightly which is always a plus. Arduino system have plug n play temp control sensors and the 328 atmel has PWM outputs for regulating fan speed.
I have...
Ok so I couldn't help myself I left her on still and thoroughly cleaned the room. Unusual whitish dust everywhere! I am nervous that it is rockwool dust so I've almost buried the cubes in hydroton to keep them wet. Still no pics yet as I'm sending replies off the phone ATM. Will update shortly.
I have been quietly following your grow and I love the work you have done. I do however have to disagree with a few things though... red + blue panels are NOT a waste of time they provide concentrated pure PAR for your plants at the precise spectrum to achieve maximum chlorophyll A & B...
I'll throw me up from this morn but I'm getting rid of the rig immediately. It's cold where I am and while I can maintain a good temp I have to sacrifice external ventilation. The wife and I in the last 2 days have had dry throats and I even tasted blood :/. I can't move her elsewhere in my...
I have done both ways my 150w model blew air in but my 235w draws air out. My controllers are all IP67 so I'm not worried about humidity Ingress. I prefer to pull cool air in and blow it straight out the top where my exhaust fans are. This is good practice as hot air rises. The only reason my...
