I got root rot a month into 12/12 and I cut almost all the roots off and changed the water every day or two using hygrozyme and sm-90 and they are hanging in there. Definitely go for a "commercial" pump. I was using like 6 walmart pumps for my 4 buckets. When I switched to the eco plus 5 I noticed a tremendous increase in growth and a overall healthier root zone. One of the better purchases I made.

Do you know the temp of your water? I have experienced root rot a few times and its never made my plant look like that. Mine will droop and start yellowing.
