I cut a branch off of my plant which is 3 weeks into flowering. you can see the white hairs on that branch. I cut it and planted it. Is 3 weeks into flowering too late to clone? there wasnt really any real bud on the branch.

Should I cut off all the branches to the point where I topped the plant a few weeks ago and where it is now branching off or should I grow some bud from the lower branches as well? The former is called lollipopping. Does it really work?
