Help! What's the best Bio Inoculant you have used???

I have new soil and am dealing with root feeding nematodes currently. I have inoculated with predatory nematodes but I need to ramp up my Fungal to Bacterial ratio. I am growing some rather expensive plants (15-25 bucks a seed) and need that sweet spot. I want to know what you have used to help...

What is the best Bio-inoculant you have used or heard of???

I have some pi$$ poor soil and I need help getting some life back into it! I have started to inoculate with em1, some compost extracts, earthworm castings, and compost. Cover Crops/ Companion Plants . . . Do You?

That, vetch, trefoil. all could be used. I have had the clover turn into a thrip heaven. I like a good pea. It always pays to grow something you can use. I ate more tendrils and shoots to keep the plant under control than I did peas.

    Cover Crops/ Companion Plants . . . Do You?

I may be located deep underground, somewhere that is not free. . . Although being taxed senseless isn't free either . . . Anyways I just had my second run in with thrips and for as badly as I want to have a really thick living mulch layer, clover is NOT the way yo do it! If you toss down some...

    sip vs swick, grassroots?

So Question . . . Do Sip systems work in extreme heat or does the higher water temp screw things up? I grow hemp and peppers in the zone 4 and I use pavement to heat my pepper pots (5 gal buckets) and that alone seems to extend my season by 1.5 months. I want to switch to a sip but I'm worried...

    Eggshell WCA (Water-Soluble Calcium)

So I do know about B/F ratios and that if it's bacterial throw down some wicked brassicas. If you got shubs, you want those Shroooms man (fungi dominant). The JMS is supposed to be a soil softening agent. For the record it is an outdoor application. I am much less hesitant to use anaerobic...

    Eggshell WCA (Water-Soluble Calcium)

What are your thoughts on JMS vs Compost tea/extract? I just wonder if JMS is mostly bacteria, and if so couldn't that cause an imbalance? I feel like compost tea/extract would be the second step and JMS may be step one? Thoughts? Also, do you happen to know anyone that makes or has the...

    Eggshell WCA (Water-Soluble Calcium)

Crabapple cider is a lost art you know. To everyone they are trash fruit. The truly resourceful person makes useful things from waste. That's the easy secret to getting rich. Just figure out how to make money from some form of abundant waste product. What you said is why this type of growing is...

    Eggshell WCA (Water-Soluble Calcium)

So have you found that most plants react well to the normal dilution rates of do certain types of plants like different regiments? Like do Vegging plants like more of one thing than another? With the knowledge that obviously, flowering nutes like K are going to do better than a ton of N...

    KNF and IMO "Indigenous Microorganisms"

I would recommend the JADAM lectures to anyone that is interested in cultivation just because soo much money can be saved and put elsewhere. Like lighting or a quality watering system. It also shows that just about anything you thought was waste can be put to use. The books are very useful as well.

    Eggshell WCA (Water-Soluble Calcium)

So to be clear, you mean the ferments have to be chilled to cold crash them and put them into sleepy mode. Not the WCA right? I brew wine and kombucha and such things so I know cold crashing. I would be looking more at some of the JADAM stuff first so chilling won't be an issue and so my...

    Eggshell WCA (Water-Soluble Calcium)

So the question is do these sell well? I'm not looking to get rich, but it's hard to make a living off selling produce during the warm season here. I figure as ppl ask and I am actually able to explain their needs/uses I can sell them pretty easily. EWC are a hard sell. It's just going to take...

    KNF and IMO "Indigenous Microorganisms"

No I did not. . . Fail. Just used to seeing those same pics. They circulate that crap every year here to scare ppl who may want to go and enjoy nature. Literally the same pics. Very nice plants. So have you noticed any difference when you use different JLFs' ? Or is it just all good ? I have...

    Eggshell WCA (Water-Soluble Calcium)

Well then . . . .I already acquired the materials for a full batch of JS and JWA. I really would prefer to sell amendments rather than produce. . . My only issue with the JS and JWA is containers for the finished product. 30 gallons is a lot to store and then divide up into saleable size...

    KNF and IMO "Indigenous Microorganisms"

That's not Hogweed, that's wild parsnip. It Is wild parsnip, it not just a name. If you eat the stuff from the store, this is the exact same. It has Photoreactive liquid in the plant so that the sun causes the burns. It's way more prevalent than dandelions. It is in every ditch! After...

    Eggshell WCA (Water-Soluble Calcium)

Very Nice! I have thought about making a larger batch of WCA and bottling it for sale at the market. Explaining that blossom end rot was not pest damage turns a lot of ppls little christmas tree bulb on. I also couldn't believe how many ppl have no clue about gypsum . . . Those are typically...

    Eggshell WCA (Water-Soluble Calcium)

So chlorine and chloramine is a big deal if you want to maintain any level of quality life in your soil. You either need to filter your water or wait 24 - 48 hours for the chloramines to flash off. You can just stir it with your arm for five seconds if you can prove it's just chlorine in your...

    Eggshell WCA (Water-Soluble Calcium)

Depends on your overall goal. I used to use epsom salt but I work with a living soil system now so adding salty water would not do my soil life well. If you grow differently then it would be fine in the correct dilution rate. If you are unaware there are a lot of epsom salts that have additives...
