I came to say the same thing. I used to have no problems using the rooter plugs and trays but this time around I got like 1 out of 10 to root. Now I use the pucks and just keep 1 inch of the cutting under water and everything roots problem free

I'm not sure its the cause but light bleaching does exist. During flowering stretch I let mine get too close to the HPS and the leaves and tops of the buds turned white and started to die and I had to chop them off. LEDs however...
I think its entirely possible you're too close. The UV in the light could be killing the THC. My HPS lights are nearly 60 cm above my plants and my crap genetics got me ripped
that mold was probably white when it started growing and turned brown after. I find the same stuff in my soil bags if theyre exposed to light. i've had no problems using it after mixing it in
I shortened my timer from 12/12 to 11:30/12:30 because I was reading that sativas need this to mature properly and my sour d finally stopped growing new pistils after week 9 of flower (in week 10 now)
it does say that it can take 24 hrs for megacrop to fully dissolve into water but it helps to heat it to 103 F for best mixing. I'm learning this the hard way with hand watering because the undissolved stuff built up in the media and now i'm dealing with a nitrogen toxicity
No, after doing some googling it seems they try to rinse it off a bit and then they heat it above 1200 degrees and its still not as good as virgin charcoal
the lights not 4 ft away, its in the middle of that 4 ft and 24 inches above so its like 3 ft away. my edge buds look fine in a 4x4 under a 600w hortilux
