Hey there, brand new grower, this is the first plant I've grown, while I clearly see the female pistols, there are also some little ball looking parts too, is this the male "parts" or is this just new leaves or buds?

Hey, this is my first grow, didn't really know much about growing before I started, started the larger one in late may and the small one in late June. By looking at the close up pics of the large one is this female parts I see, the little hairs? Also, how are they looking?
