    The Acapulco Gold

I bought some Acapulco Gold from a medical marijuana pharmacy thinking it would take me back to the good old days smoking primo Mexican Acapulco Gold. Needless to say, it didn't. It was an extremely underwhelming experience smoking it. It was even priced lower than other modern strains. In...

    Shit weed :(

Google: Health conscious smokers have recently made themselves aware of the dangers behind the use "plant growth regulators", or PGR's. Growers use these chemicals, sometimes unknowingly, to promote the short, stocky growth that's favorable indoors. Never heard of weed grown with these. I do...

Great Smell Good High - No Taste ??

I'm not big on taste. Smell maybe. I don't expect exotic flavors when I smoke. As long as it doesn't taste bad like dirt or something, then, it's fine with me if it doesn't taste like pineapple or fruity pebbles.

Who remembers having to clean their bag of 80's weed?

Smoked a joint or two with seeds in it that exploded like a joke cigar.

Who remembers having to clean their bag of 80's weed?

The really good stuff was hard to get. You had to be lucky and know the right people. It wasn't sold to just anyone (my experience).

Who remembers having to clean their bag of 80's weed?

I absolutely hated that Mexican tight bud red hair shit of the late 80's and early 90's. It seemed that's all there was for sale. It came into the US by the tons. It made me more dizzy than high. I'd close my eyes and get the spins. I remember flushing a bag full down the toilet, or tossing...

    Gnats flying around my box

Sorry, I was talking about white flies, they look a bit like gnats. For white flies , those hanging strips work very well.

Great Smell Good High - No Taste ??

My bubble kush didn't have much of a smell or taste either, after only curing it for 3-4 days. I then waited a full 3 weeks of curing and the smell and taste were profoundly noticed. I was quite surprised.

    Gnats flying around my box

Just buy some of those sticky coiled-up fly strips that you unfurl via a pull string. Hang them down next to your lights and in a day it will be standing room only on them. For me, that got rid of every last one in a day.

    Almost harvest time

That's why I mentioned "sequential harvesting." :) His top spear is gangbusters, but not so much the other less developed cola spears down below.

    Almost harvest time

You could buy a small 30x hand held microscope like the kind Radio Shack and eBay sells. It's useful to scope in on the trichromes to check how many have turned from clear to milky or amber. They're only $6 and work pretty well for me.

What do you need to grow- this should help everyone

I bought a large $5.99 syringe to draw up drained out water from my drip pan. Keeps flies away. They seem to develop at the bottom of pots if you let drainage water sit there. I had white flies for awhile due to this. No big deal. I hung a few sticky fly coils and they all jumped on board...

    Almost harvest time

Sequential harvest? What about them lower spears? You might like to add a common object in your pics to show perspective (Bic pen, coke can, a hand, etc).

What do you need to grow- this should help everyone

That's true for the most part. However, due to noise constraints, I have only a 4" 190CFM Vivosun fan unit exhausting which really didn't suck much air out (32x32x62" tent). So, I added a $2.99 Antec 120mm pc fan with 3 speed controller that I cinched into the bottom intake vent hood. Minimal...

Foliar spraying / feeding under cfl (burn)

As long as the room temps aren't too low, otherwise, spritzing when the lights go out may cause mold/mildew growth in cooler environments.
