I would say its virtually impossible to see the trichome heads with the naked eye, but those are some pretty good photos and I do see some amber in there... having said that its important that your checking the flowers calyxes for amber trichs not the leaves. And as your plant has yet to swell...

I use a 4 foot 4 bulb T5 to root my cuttings. Right around 6-8 inches from the clones, but I use a bubble cloner so no dome. 6500k bulbs. Works fine.
