    Baywatcher's Basement Blowout

In other news, my wife has been in the hospital for 3 days now with asthmatic bronchitis. After a week coughing with what we assumed were seasonal allergies, by Saturday night she was having real trouble breathing. I apparently caught it from her at some point, but as soon as my throat started...

    Baywatcher's Basement Blowout

Well, it's only going to be 5 lights per side, not six, just for power consumption purposes. On other news, thrips are back again. I hit them with spinosad spray, and will be using it as a soil drench for the next few weeks again. At least this time, I knew what I was seeing and caught it early.

We're going to hit Home Depot tomorrow and buy all the construction materials and do a load-in to the basement. Actually hammering will commence Tuesday or Wednesday.

    Baywatcher's Basement Blowout

I'll celebrate when I have an offer letter, right now it's just an intriguing possibility... What *is* reality is that I now have a working minisplit and 12-light flipbox! I've picked up a bunch of extra hoods and bulbs, the next step is actual construction.

    Baywatcher's Basement Blowout

When I got laid off at the beginning of the year, I said to my wife "Because I telecommute, I don't think they have any idea all the shit that I do." It has now been right at six months. Just got an email from the guy who was my boss there for the first half of my 7-year tenure saying...

Took a little over 5z off of the Cotton Candy I harvested this week. It's not where I want to be yet (8z+), but it's almost double the first ones.

The minisplit is in, the light controller won't be here until Tuesday so the final electric still needs to be done.

    Baywatcher's Basement Blowout

Minisplit arrived, pulled the crap out of my hamstring getting it up my driveway. In what can only be considered a miracle, my installer will be here tomorrow morning to deal with it. He's an electrician, and is adding a new 100 amp subpanel for everything in the new rooms as well.

Critical Jack after a few days in the jar

I don't think they got crazy thick until the last couple of weeks, but that's true with just about everything. Do you have a pic?

I find shade 5s way too dark. I own two pairs of aura lenses, and they're great, but getting them involved wading through a ton of bullshit. I also own two pair of boroscopes, and they're just as good, and Phillips has never repeatedly lied to me... Read this thread...

    Baywatcher's Basement Blowout

Thoroughly scrubbed my cloner and started up a new cycle. I got one of those intermittent timers that lets you set on time/off time in seconds/minutes. I run the pump for 5 minutes, then off for 15. Also moved a bunch of plants out of 2 gallon pots and into 7 gallon pots. Still have three to...

    Thundercat's Groooooooow

Mine are actually mounted to a 2x4 that is attached to the ceiling joists. With large batwings I can fit under them with about 1" to spare. My tall friends smack their heads constantly...

10 foot ceilings would be badass. Mine are 7 feet, and require some creative light mounting.

    Baywatcher's Basement Blowout

Today was basement cleanout, the friend I've been helping came over and we knocked it out in about 5 hours interspersed with oil and espresso. I've still got a few more things to move out, but 90% of it is cleaned out. We also made a materials punchlist for what we need to do the walls so that...

    Baywatcher's Basement Blowout

Thanks for dropping in Voice! I'm trying to gear myself up to begin the great Basement Cleanout of 2014 so we can begin work. This will 90% involve moving about 2 tons of used dirt into the backyard. The outside garden will like it, my back probably won't :)

Amazon Prime FTW. Did a 4-hour burn in my flower chamber and a 2-hour burn in my sealed veg tent. Hopefully that will be all that is needed. I have to say, it didn't smell *nearly* as bad as I expected, and you couldn't really smell it in the rest of the house, so yay.

Will do, thanks. So, Powdery Mildew has shown up. Amazon Prime should have a sulfur burner to me by this afternoon...

    Thundercat's Groooooooow

Around the time I turned 43, I noticed I couldn't read the label on a vitamin bottle -- if I got it far enough away to focus, the type was too small. I had always had *perfect* vision my whole life. I made my first visit to an eye doctor in decades, seriously concerned I was going blind...

I am not familiar with it. Links? This is the grow I'm using as my inspiration for the system. I have 7' ceilings, so a big-ass scrog will be more friendly than caged trees... https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/grow4s-first-uc-run-12xl-8-gallon-7600k.32559/
