I germinate my seeds in rapid rooters and I use a spray bottle to mist them as I do not want them to get too wet. With purchased seeds I have a 100% success rate.

So far only 18 have cracked. I have removed some and added 14 more, so we are back up to 50 potential. I may be spoiled as these are taking longer than seeds I have purchased.

Look them up, rapid rooters are compressed tree bark. I don't even use a heating pad and still have perfect success rate. Just make sure they are moist and not soaked. Also, avoid the glass of water method and the paper towel method. And please, please, do not scuff or try and crack the seeds...

Rapid rooters, darkness, spray with water do not soak (too much water is not good)! 100% success rate for me.
