    3070's melted.

Using a thicker pad seems like the wrong way to go.

How many CXA2530 can I run per 1.05mA driver?

The Cree PCT says 9 CXA2530 add up to 332V @ 700mA. http://pct.cree.com/dt/index.html The Mean Well HLG-240H-C700 would work. (Constant current region of 178 ~ 357V)

    Help with bluelab ppm meter

The reason is osmosis. A pH sensor probe has a semi-permeable bulb filled with . . . I forget but that's the source of my problems. Being fed up with Hanna, I bought a pair of Hach sensors which were advertised as dry storable. Total BS--they were received dried out. (I got my money back...

diy CXB or Vero ?! help me :)

The Cutter price for CXB3070 is attractive compared to CXB3590. The two series can be compared using the PCT spreadsheet from Cree. http://pct.cree.com/dt/index.html I'm not familiar with Vero so I don't know how they compare to CXB3070.

    Reflectors -vs- Lenses

Aesthetically, I think lenses look more professional. I don't have an informed opinion about function.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

I see the 12 COBs now but they can't be the 3590 style, I don't think. The luminaire is too small to hold 'em.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Zblade, do you have a retail source for the Cree kits? Edit: Platt.com. cesco.com. There is only one COB, driven at 160W or 240W. I'd rather spend $420 on this: http://www.tastyled.com/product-p/v4-200.htm

    What are some reliable timers?

I guess I'm old but I use the Intermatic T100 series. http://www.intermatic.com/en/products/timeswitches/mechanicalswitches/24hour My hands are not real strong; I use pliers to tighten the trip dogs so the wheel is slightly dimpled.

    Apv 12-12 ???

APV 12-12 is rated up to one amp. A 2W fan @ 12V draws about 0.17 amps. 1A / 0.17A = 5.88 so it looks like you could run five fans for sure. As pickledlsd says, the fans are connected in parallel. Edit: what AP said.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Check the data sheet of the driver you intend to use. The better quality Mean Wells will have a graph showing efficiency vs load.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

I thought it was power applied at the COB(s). Edit: as above.

    House and Garden changed?

I've been KISS (simple). GH MaxiGro in veg, MaxiBloom in flower with Pro-Tekt silicon and Ful-Power fulvic. And before someone says GH is Scotts which is Monsanto--no, but there is an exclusive marketing agreement for Roundup.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Yes. HLG-240H-C1400A dims to 50% with an internal pot. The "B" model can dim down to 10% with an external potentiometer or resistor.

    House and Garden changed?

You know H&G moved from Holland to the US? Some production was interrupted but I haven't heard problems like yours.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Yeah, you're talking 450W. The HLG-185H-C1050 will drive 5 at about 36W each.
  18. sanjuan

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

I'll assume you have the 36V version. Mean Well HLG-240H-C700 will drive 9 of those at a little under 25W each. The HLG-185H-C700 will drive 8. At that low power you probably don't need a fan if you have an appropriate heat sink.

This is the best LED grow forum on the web, at least for cannabis horticulture.
