Best way to drain run off?

You're obviously working on a larger scale than me here but this is my setup, the 2gal ebb n flow buckets drain into the "catch bucket" in the center which is equipped with a float valve activated pump that sends the runoff straight out an exterior wall. because it is float valve activated there...

Buying a HLG light in the near future

Thanks for all the input guys! So i notice alot of people suggesting the v1 board? why the v1 over v2? @fragileassassin the double heatsink is 600mm which would make it a tight fit for the 2x2 space, even so it wouldnt make for an ideal spread so gotta say no to that :p i hadnt seen the 225w...

    Combined UV/IR switch

Np, my plants are under uv/ir all day, or atleast for their 12hours as i run photos, i have done autos though and had them under it all day and they were fine. Also @Gond00s isnt wrong, but i run perpetual cycles so only running uv for last few weeks isnt an option for me, however best to only...

What are your nute PPM levels everyone?

so on this chart id be in the falling/static/falling category, as the water is used the water level falls, ec stays the same, but ph is dropping, my solutions in the past have been higher than 1.4 ec so that made since, this latest batch i set to 1.3 ec which means its in between the 1.0 and 1.4...

What are your nute PPM levels everyone?

i run 4 plants perpetually but the system is drip to waste, 12/12 has nothing to do with the ph of the solution..

What are your nute PPM levels everyone?

so i hate that im having to come back and update again but i went on a 3 day trip to the beach and came back to my 1.3ec solution being down to 5.2ph!!! im seriously starting to get pissed off because i used to run a 40gal res and never once needed a drop of ph up or down for the 5 years or so...

    Struggling with clones

hey DoubleA just wanted to ask you a quick question, i recently switched to an ez cloner unit vs my old rapid rooter method, i generally like the product but have noticed since using it that my success rate for clones is down by alot,, with rapid rooters id maybe have 1 out of every 10 clones...

What are your nute PPM levels everyone?

just wanted to come back to update- after being urged by many to measure in ec rather than ppm i finally did, turns out my 1200+ppm solution was 1.9ec and that high concentration was pushing my ph down. refilled my res last wednesday and set to 1.3 ec, ph has stayed perfectly stable at 5.9!

What are your nute PPM levels everyone?

I use the ppm (700 scale) on my bluelab gaurdian, i just understand the number better than ec. the return line from the chiller creates a small waterfall but thats it, airstones never did anything for me except pump pathogens into the mixture.

    Critique Coco DTW

as others have said in their own ways- more plants doesnt always mean more product but almost always means more headache, in your 4x4 i wouldnt do more than 16 plants, as i personally never like to go less than 1sq ft per plant, in my 2x2 flower tent i do 4plants perpetually, offset by appx 30...

    Critique Coco DTW

as someone whos run coco just about every way you can i switched from EnF to DTW and havent looked back. EnF is a great way to grow with coco but constant reservoir maintenance will quickly become a chore you're not fond of, plus in the long run you waste more nutes/water with a recirculating...

What are your nute PPM levels everyone?

so i wanted to come back to update that my 1230ppm solution did infact continue to have a downward ph swing. Can anyone give some suggestions as to why this may be? it made sense when it was doing it at almost 1700ppm as overdosing nutrients is known to do that but 1200ppm is not an overdose.. i...

    What’s your favorite nutrient line?

i second dyna-gro nutes, been my go to for over 5 years now, having used GH, FF, AN, and others in the past i prefer dyna-gro. I use pro-tekt and K-L-N in my ez cloner, pro-tekt and foliage pro for my mother feeds, pro-tekt, mag pro, and bloom for my flower res, i also use their dyna-zyme and...

I need advice with auto watering

i do drain to waste coco using floraflex caps on my 2gal pots, the feed line from the resevoir runs into a 4 way splitter that then splits each line into 2 for better coverage with the floraflex cap. my feed pump is a 350gph and i only have to run it for 1min exactly to get 15-20% runoff. runoff...
