Exactly what I was saying, if you can get past the thinly veiled metaphor. If you're giving your plants a rest/night period, let them do just that - rest. The green light, as far a I'm concerned, should be more for checking environmental issues during lights off - temp, pests, etc.

If you're growing in soil, it's really really simple. Best practise would be to prep your pots a day or two ahead of time, so mix your soil and perlite/coco/amendments if using, and then fill your pots to the top. Probably just different phenotypes (characteristics) of the same strain man, one will just be stankier than the others. I low stress trained the shiiiit outta my blueberry, still stinks and is covered in resin. If you had a nuterient deficiency, your plant would tell you. Wouldn't overly worry...
