Nylon stockings for RDWC pipe filters

Yep, still using the HDX 27-gallon totes :)

Nylon stockings for RDWC pipe filters

My tote manifolds are 2" pvc. The return going from the 2" pvc to the water pump is 3/4" vinyl tube.

Nylon stockings for RDWC pipe filters

2" I've seen plastic screens, but I'm not sure how well they work. This is actually the first time I've had roots growing, not only into the 2" returns, but through the 3/4 vinyl tube, and through the elbow!

Nylon stockings for RDWC pipe filters

Just one of those things you gotta live with, huh LOL!

Nylon stockings for RDWC pipe filters

I just fished out a bunch of roots in the pipes, as well as the return tube. It was fairly easy, but I do want to avoid it from happening again. I use panty hose/nylon stockings for air filters. I stretch them over ducting, and they work great at keeping stuff out. So, I think I'm going to...

    When to harvest?

You'll have to let us know when you harvest. I was thinking a couple weeks, but other estimates seem to be much further out.

    When to harvest?

Patience :) You've got another couple weeks, but they're getting real close. You can probably flush in a few days. I like to harvest when most are milky, and some ambers are popping up. From here on out, the buds are going to be ripening.

    Help

Those are normal. They're not seed pods.

Closer. Week 8 of flower started yesterday. Thoughts?

Looks good! You shouldn't be providing any nutes for around two weeks prior to harvest. If you don't flush all the nitrogen out, it can make your weed harsh.

    Air Scrubber Alternative

Get a real fan/scrubber/fan controller combo. For a small setup, a 4" combo will do. Don't try to take shortcuts. As previously mentioned, get a small tent. You may also want to have an air purifier going, because if you get a real smelly strain, it can be difficult to contain against...

Wondering what is the best setup for the stand I built???

That's a cool setup. One of the big problems you might be facing, is maintaining the plants. Not sure if you plan on reaching them using a ladder. Having access is really important, IMO.

    Ebb and flow or RDWC

RDWC is great, and it's so easy. Not only that, but it's so cheap and easy to build your own, from really basic stuff. You can also build a fairly complex system, that runs almost flawlessly and has superior results. Thing is, it's too easy to build, to go out and buy a turnkey RDWC for $500...

    Flip to 12/12 ?

I don't know, I don't go by weeks anymore. After a while you just go by what your plants are telling you. Looking at them, and knowing the stretch is about done, I'd say just past three weeks. WW is on the shorter end of finishing. I've probably got around five weeks left. From here...

    Flip to 12/12 ?

Ended up supercropping the other side, which was reaching for the lights. A lot of times, branches will attempt to stand straight back up again, after being supercropped. I like unfolding paper clips, hooking them to the net, and using them to hold down the branches. I had to do that to the...

General Hydroponics Flora Trio and Cali-Magic - how to?

Yep, just like that! Although, noobs might want to look into the details LOL!

General Hydroponics Flora Trio and Cali-Magic - how to?

Like he said, follow the charts. So much easier than what you're trying to do. Get yourself some cheap medicine droppers to measure you ml/tbls. Also, don't forget to adjust for the base TDS in the water by itself. If the water out of the tap measure 50ppm, and you're aiming for a nutrient...

    Flip to 12/12 ?

I'll mention that it's not necessary to top the branches at the very highest point of the branch. Really, you can top a branch or stalk well below the top most point.
