    1st week watering?

Get used to starving them a little for water. Try watering then going a solid day at least after the watering day, then repeat with just little water in the center area mainly, not the whole pot. Your medium is just drying on top. Your plant has water beneath the soil. Watering day and night is...

    LED and seedlings.

With good led light, do you even need to bother babying seedlings with CFL's in close proximity, at first? So far, it seems that as long as the LED light is at maximum height for seedlings, I have had no issues with the stretching of seedlings starting them on Led light. They seem to stay short...

    FIRST GROW

No no no. Learn the difference between odor maskers and odor killers like carbon scrubbers. There is NO WAY around a carbon scrubber in your tent. All the airfreshner, plug ins, incense, and ONA Gel is not going to be able to cover the smell of a single plant, let alone 3-4! What size is your...

    Kessil Club 2015

So how do you all get "down and dirty" with your Kessil Led's. Im talking about how low can you get these bad boys before your girls show adverse signs? I always start plants on the reccomended 24"(H350) and 18"(H150) for the maximum footprint. However as plants get bigger and more resilient to...

    starting plants from seed

I order bags of happy frog and ocean forest for around $20 shipped, right off ebay. As for what to feed, I think any grow nurtrient is fine. I like to keep it simple with base nutrients. I like a two part grow then bloom. I have been using advanced nutrients Iguana juice as it is organic, and...

    FIRST GROW

You are fine. Medical seeds are awesome. Soil is very forgiving for new growers. make sure it is well draining by adding about 30 percent perlite or vermiculite to the soil mix. Follow Dutch Haze's golden advice above! Also make sure to go easy on nutrients when your plant is about three weeks...

    flipped 5 days ago to 12 12

It usually takes a week or week and a half to see preflowering. Do not count preflowering (the first few white hairs) as a flowering week. Start counting weeks during actual flowering.... Which happens the following week.

    starting plants from seed

Don't see why you are so set on rapid rooters? I like to start out in little cheapo 16 oz plastic cups with holes in bottom. I just use the good soil mixed with perlite (ffof or hf). I let that little plant go in the cup for three weeks (21 full days). At that point they are big enough for 1/4...

    First time grow

This hobby is all about patience. No one can tell you. It's done when it's done. Biggest noob mistakes, over watering and harvesting too early. It's done after the final swell, and the pistils shrivel back into the calyxes :-)

Would UFO led lighting work for a 1 plant waterfarm scrog?

I used to do a single plant with a 135 watt ufo, and cfl side light. Like you said you should bring in a second 90 watt to really get your flowering going.

    Cheap LED's?

Super hot chili- Carolina Reaper-Ghost Chili-Trinidad Scorpion

My pepper tips.... I start them in a very light moistened seed starter mix. I plant a couple seeds in each cell of a propogation tray 1/4 inch deep. Then I place the tray on a warming seed mat with humidity dome to aid germination. After the seeds sprout I remove the humidity dome for fresh air...

    time for a trim

Yup keep as many leaves as you can up until harvest. When you stop feeding to flush, the plant will cannibalize itself and use all the food stored in those green leaves. You'll see the leaves yellow up as the plant uses all available nutrition to finish buds.

    Chilis for days

Thanks. I order lots of pepper seeds from ebay. I purchased a 50 seed germination station. Adding the heat mat and dome greatly improved my germination rates. I think my next batch will be scorpions, and ghost chilis

    time for a trim

I agree dont trim....like ever! Those leaves are like solar cells. More leaves, take in more light, equals more energy and growth. The only leaves I cut are ones that touch the damp soil. When the plant flowers, I begin to gently tuck in leaves here and there, to allow light to reach more bud...
