    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

This is the type of info I've been looking for, albeit liters instead of gallons. Thanks man!

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

Thank you for your input! So a water change when switching from veg to bloom and one mid bloom won't be enough? I'm aware situations could arise that may require an additional water change outside of the aforementioned water change schedule.

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

I'm still not sure which way I want to run the GH nutes. I had planned to run the per instructions bit another member here suggested lucas as it doesn't require frequent water changes, which was my main goal when I started this post. As of now, I'm just taking in all the advice and info from the...

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

Doesn't the regular use of pool shock prevent the bacteria/slime?

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

According to the Lucas method, if not doing water changes, the 2:1 ratio using 2:1 to topoff, will provide everything needed from start to finish. The original GH instructions require a water change every 7-10 days while using varying amounts of nutrients every week or two.

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

Yep, I'm aware that Lucas is only micro and bloom. Or just floranova bloom. I'm only considering the Lucas method because it would allow me to avoid the weekly water changes. My system consists of 5x12g totes and will be using ro water so trying to keep the water changes minimal.

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

Unfortunately I already the have the trio. Once the florabloom runs out I will pickup the nova bloom. Thanks for that info!

Awesome, thanks man! I will research the Lucas formula. Thanks for sharing that knowledge

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

If you don't mind me picking your brain once more, are either of these (or both) the right shock treatment?

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

So Epsom salt will work in place of calmag? And thanks, your input on the HG trio is hugely helpful!

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

The cal mag is because I will be using reverse osmosis water. Reverse osmosis removes calcium and magnesium from tap water. Which means I will need to supplement calcium and magnesium.

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

Only thing extra I intended to add was either medical grade h202, pool shock, or southern ag garden friendly fungicide. Leaning towards pool shock as it's so inexpensive. Also intend to start with half the recommended dose of the GH trio. Should I also half the dose of calmag alongside the...

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

Thanks man, I appreciate all your assistance! I wish I could change it out every week or two but my system consists of 5 12g totes and it seems incredibly wasteful to dump that much water and nutes so frequently. Thanks again man, you've been a huge help

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

Now i think I'm understanding. The nutrient ratios don't need to be perfect provided I stay within the proper ec/ppm range as the plants will only consume what they need of each nutrient. Throw in a water change here and there when transitioning to get things on par with that specific growth...

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

I just don't understand how to keep the proper levels based on the different stages of growth without doing a complete water change. Ec/tds doesn't calculate how much of each, micro, grow, bloom or calmag is in the system. Say week 4 advises 1tsp per gallon of something and week 5 only advises...

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

The nutrients come with a nutrient schedule (micro, grow, and bloom) that's broken down in weeks, based on the stage of growth. Is that how much to add weekly if not doing a water change?

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

Thanks man! I do have an ec/ppm meter arriving tomorrow. If mixing nutes in the system isn't the best way to do it, is there a better way you would advise me to follow? One that doesn't involved a complete water change?

    Adjusting nutes in rdwc system

Looking for advice on how to adjust nutrient strength weekly in a rdwc system without doing a water change. Example: Week 1 use 1/4 tsp per gallon of each nutrient solution. Week 2 use 1/2 tsp per gallon. Does this mean for week 2 I would add another 1/2 tsp per gallon to system? And if so...
