1g of table salt in 1 liter of water should get you 1000 ppm

Might also be a good idea to calibrate/check the TDS as well. My cheap TDS reads 760ppm while the bluelab reads 1600ppm.

Hi @RainDan Out of curiosity, what should the heat sink temperature be once the light has warmed up to its maximum operating temperature?

I know if you do this to a plant, the woody stems you cut off will ooze sap for days and end up with mold growing into the wood even if you have UV lights running. So maybe don't cut them this far... :wall: The soft green stems seem to do better after getting cut. They kinda shrink and self seal.

Understood. :blsmoke: I try to do it that way as well but it would definitely save some time if you were eager to smoke a bit of a new strain or useful if you were moving your grow.

I didn't know people were tossing out the mothers on the regular :o With that last question I'm asking how many times can you do that before the new plants start to have issues with vigor, stress, genetic damage, etc. Or maybe they don't develop any issues and you can do this indefinitely.

In order to save space, I would like to flower the mother plant after clippings taken from it have taken root. Is there a term for this? And how sustainable is this practice?

No. that clone and the mother it came from had those little white balls ever since it was a seedling. Someone told me some strains are like that so I didn't think much of them. I hadn't noticed they had turned yellow till you mentioned it.

Yeah you can start them off real young.

No, I put them in flower at about 6 inches and after the stretch they were under a foot. 2 feet is definitely not a problem with that strain which was suppose to be OG kush but I can't verify it. But make sure they have a solid root system going first.
