Will electric snow blower work well in New England winter?

You should get a push button start one. They are a lot better then years ago. I know all about the pull start problems. Last week my snow blower stalled out on me I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings and when I pulled I smashed my elbow on the corner of my mail box. I almost passed out...

Anyone add UV light to LED Grow?

From personal experience of adding a reptile CFL uvb I burned the hell out of aloe plants. I had the bulb in a clip on desk lamp and I thought it would be good to put over some baby aloe I had just replanted. No good burned them. So just be careful. I do think supplementing with added uv can...

Will electric snow blower work well in New England winter?

Take advise from a Canadian. We have snow 13 months a year. Those electric ones are only good for light powder. A gas powered one is the only way to go. Also make sure the engine on it is a name brand Briggs and Stratos, Honda, etc. If you get a name brand one parts are available. No name ones...

    What is this? Mold?

I'd cut them off just in case. And keep an eye out for more damage. And also use sticky traps. You might find the culprit there

    Humidity control

One thing you MUST do is have a hose attached to your dehumidifier. Those little fill tanks fill up fast and the dehumidifier stops working. So one of the easiest ways is a hose going to a drain. Or even a larger bucket if you're going to be at work. I had one that would fill up in about 4 or 5...

    Essential oils and IPM

I've never though about a diffuser. That is a great idea I have a few kicking around. I'm going to try and dig one up tonight. I can't believe I didn't think about that. That would be great to deter bugs from showing up in the first place.

    What's your IPM?

I've tried hot peppers to keep rabbits away from my lettuce. They loved it and decimated my crop. I also sprayed it around my strawberries cause the squirrels kept pulling them up. Not eating them just pulling them up and letting the roots dry out.

    Essential oils and IPM

Tea tree oil can be used to kill mold in bathrooms, it's also used for foot fungus issues. So I'm guessing we would have to be careful to not over do it, cause I'm guessing it would be detramental to the fungal part of the soil food web
