For reference these are the seedling that cracked the surface 12 days ago. The stretching is because i had them by my window for the first 3 days for natural sunlight. I do not get very much sun in the window so probably wasn’t the greatest idea.

Hey, i am still trying to get the seedling phase down and was curious. When you say to let pro mix hp dry for wet/dry cycle how dry is it? Would it be considered dry if I squeeze it hard and still see a little water on my finger? Or is it supposed to be even dryer? Not really sure what i am...

Thanks for the quick responses everyone. I will get the dead leaves off of there and order a microscope like the other guy suggested and see how it looks. Will probably wait for another week though unless i see a decent chunk of amber trichomes.

Yea. Gotta stop being lazy. Got a whole list of things i want from amazon but waiting to use my dad’s prime account. I don’t even have a ph pen or ppm reader. Also all the remo nutrients i am using are at least 2 years old from purchase.

This plant is 2 weeks passed expected finish time. It’s an autoflower. Looks like all pistils have shrivelled and very little growth. The only thing is i do not see any amber trichromes but i am using my iPhone MagnifyGlass so it is kinda hard.

Thank you guys for your suggestion. I will try spraying the top to make sure it doesn’t get really dry and keep checking the weight.

Hey, i just thought about this but i am trying to grow organically in the pro mix hp kind of like a living soil. Was it a bad idea to let it dry out so much because it killed the beneficial organisms? I noticed my new growth seems to be more yellow than the old. Thanks.

I actually have never checked the soil temperature. The one thing is i only have lights off for 3 hours but the swings could cause stress causing a slow down i guess. The only thing is the top of the promix gets bone dry within a day and a half while the pot has still has a decent amount water...

Thanks for the suggestions. They are actually sitting on wire racks so I don’t really think the floor temp has any affect but i am not sure. I will try watering less. Although i think at this point these plants are starting to get comfortable so i will probably try that out on the next batch...

Yea i might do that or i am thinking of dropping the other 3 off the wire rack and on the drip tray (when tray is dry) I am a little nervous to do that though because i am using fabric pots and i am not really sure if it is a good thing for the bottom to stay wet.

Glad to hear that i am not completely screwing this up. I would lower the light a little but my other plants are too tall. I am thinking about putting my 630 watt CMH ballast in because it is getting cooler outside so the tent should be a little cooler. I am not really a fan of the 630 watt...

I actually never transplanted due to it being a mephisto autoflower. They always seem to grow decently after about 2 1/2 weeks but the first 2 weeks are normally like this. I feel like they seem to be growing slow compared to other mephisto journals but maybe they are just lying or forgetting...

Hey, i was wondering. I grow in promix HP. Is it okay if the top inch gets bone dry if the pot still feels like it has weight or should i give it a little bit of water so it isn’t dry on top? Added pictures of my plants which has been growing slow. It is already on day 10. Thanks.
