Can hang the fan by bungee cords to eliminate the vibration problem. would actually suggest doing that over mounting it anyways as it will eliminate some noise even on the higher end fans .

Careful with the mufflers though cheap ones usually use fiberglass for sound dampening instead of acoustical material. Not an issue really if venting to an attic or outside but if it's venting into a living space would make sure it's acoustical material and not fiberglass. fan is a fan filter...

Not even sure you need to defoliate. Training like lolypoping are done so the top 1' of the canopy gets light and everything below 1' doesn't waste energy, if all you have is 1' of canape when you switch to flower no reason to touch it. Maybe remove a few fan leaves that are blocking light but...

You would need to veg longer.... But as long as that 1 plant had the same canopy as the 4 combined when you switched to flower the yield would be the same. But in that case your using way more power, nutrients & time because of the longer duration of veg. Not to mention you only have 1 plant...
