anybody know what's wrong with my plant?

I don't think it's bad to flush your plants. If you would have dropped your plants in front of me and said fix this, the first thing I would have done was flush it with ro water. Then I would have checked the runoff for pH and ppm. If pH is in check and ppm is reasonable, the next step would...

I use municipal compostb in my soil mixes. If it's going indoors I add it to my compost pile with layers of organic matter. After it's recompensed I'll use it indoors. For outdoor beads I'll use it right away. I'll mix in a variety of other ammendments too. I don't get hung up on all...

    Down to Earth - Bio-live!

When you mix organic material (organic nutrients) into a soil mix and add a little water to moisten it up it will heat up or cook. I'm guessing yes, that means mixing the products and let the microbes start the process of making them available for the plants to use. This is an exothermic...

    Living Soil

It's just more difficult to accomplish in smaller pots. Not enough room to add all the goodies necessary to support the microbial life worm etc. It's not that it can't happen in smaller pots, just more difficult.

    Living Soil

You are correct in that assumption. I never liked the term living soil. Soil by definition is full of life (microbes, nematodes, fungus etc.) If you remove all the life and organic matter now you have Dirt.

    Living Soil

I think of living soil as no-till setup in a large pot like 30 gallon or 4x4 bed. There is always a live root mass in the soil at all times. This is accomplished through the use of cover crops. I think super soil is just amended soil that was allowed to compost prior to planting.

    "Just add water soil" problem

In regards to are the lights too close? Hard to say. I use a micro mole sensor and measure the amount of lights that's available to the plants. Otherwise it adjust them and see how they react. You want the light close enough so the plants don't stretch to get more. You also don't want it so...

    "Just add water soil" problem

Yes 6.6 for a pH is great. Another member it's best know your input parameters. This means it would be better to focus your efforts on measuring the ppm (amount of nutrients) in the water you are feeding them vs. checking the runoff. I like to know what's going in and what's coming out.
