Yeh, was planning to recycle, Even the dust comes through the tarpauline, I am going to try wetting the charcoal and then smashing it. Im goint to using a car to run over it a few times, that might work. I was able to source some good pure charcoal, can confirm it is charred all the way through.

@HydoDan yes light is dimmable, il raise light for the time being. @PSUAGRO There is not plenty of aeration in the mix, as my delivery of perlite didnt happen... Is poor aeration a common cause of deformed leaves? I doubt its a room temp issue because temps are fine, room temp basically.

Lol at the post from juaquine. Also what cobkits says is true, some of the other brands (citizen, luminus) are pretty much at par with Vero's... I doubt there will be much difference in output thats worth worrying about

Hi all I was thinking to get a 315W CMH after hearing the hype, but as they are £200 GBP, I think I will pass. What do you recommend me to get? Im wondering about the T5HO 4-8 tube arrays, or maybe a 125W-250W CFL... Heat is not an issue, or power.

Smashing this stuff into smaller pieces is not so straightforward... How did you guys do it? Ive tried putting it into a thick gauge plastic bag or tarpauline sack and using a hammer, however the bags just end up splitting in the end...
