ready to flush ? 8 week flowering.

Those white hairs are your friends, as long as you see them, you know the plant isn't ready to harvest. I'm not saying you don't have to looks at trichs under magnifications, but as long as you have long white hairs, let the plant keep on growing. When they shrivel and recede, your buds will...

    Another "should I harvest" thread

I'd say 2 - 4 weeks, you still have plenty of long straight white hairs in those pics. Post new pics in 2 weeks and we'll give you another guesstimate. Please don't rush at this point, why waste a few months of effort when you're getting close to a great finisht? It's kind of like dating the...

ready to flush ? 8 week flowering.

Frajola - I realize it's not your thread, but if you're looking for advice, you still have lots of straight white hairs. I'd say your at least 2 - 3 weeks from harvest, assuming those pics are current.

    Outdoor plant guesstimate

    Curing...Mason Jar Size?

Yes, even if you dried properly and you're holding stable at 63%, you still want to burp the jars daily for the fist couple of weeks to make sure you don't smell an ammonia smell which would indicate a problem. Also make sure the buds aren't sticking together. If they are, dump them out and...

RH in jar at 63% - leave closed?

If you smell hay every time you jar, then you don't know how and when to harvest or you're growing ditch weed. I guarantee you there are at least 200 growers on this site that will tell you that your weed does NOT have to smell like hay when you transfer to jar and that the 'hay smell' is NOT a...

When to stop feeding unknown strain?

There's at least 10,000 threads here which discuss when to stop feeding before harvest, with answers ranging from 3 weeks before harvest to the day of harvest. Some people say you have to flush for 2 weeks while others will call you bad names if you flush at all. The bottom line IMHO -...

Calyxes are swelling .. Getting close?

If you want to harvest some buds in the next couple days, make sure you only take buds that DON'T have any straight white hairs. I notice a couple of pics show buds with a few straight white hairs, those need another 7 - 10 days, maybe 2 weeks. This will also let the trichs mature to amber like...

    Curing: burping jars

If you put dry buds in a jar and the RH in the jar measures 49% and never climbs back into the mid-50's, it's too dry to cure and there's no restarting the curing process. You can raise the RH a number of ways, but the PROCESS that is curing is dead and will not restart.

RH in jar at 63% - leave closed?

The most likely reason for 'hay' smell is because it was harvested too early. If you harvest ON TIME, you won't have a 'hay' smell regardless of whether you trim dry or wet.

    Curing questions looked all over.

Fans only cool humans, they don't cool plants but it's good to have some air movement when drying. If the buds are still clumping together after being in jars for 7 days, I'd be surprised if you don't have some mold by now. To summarize what you should be looking for when jarring - Drying -...

    Curing questions looked all over.

Check the jars, do you see any moisture on the glass? Also, when you dump out a jar onto a magazine or paper plate, do the buds clump together and need to be pulled apart? If so, you're still too wet. If they've been jarred while too wet for a week, you're probably getting mold. You state it...

Cloudy with a chance of dank

Based on the abundance of white hairs still visible, you're at least 2 weeks until harvest.

    Mould discovered during curing stage

After you think you're buds are 'dry' enough and you put them in jars, you need to check them 2 - 3 times per day. If the buds clump together and get soft, they're still too moist to leave in the jars. Dump them into a paper bag for 4 - 8 hours, then back in the jar. Repeat for the next week...

Skunk 1# ready to harvest? Please help first grow

Your plant looks great but still loaded with white hairs, so at least another 2 - 3 weeks.

Not burping jars for first couple days after drying ok?

If you have 'dried' buds with branches that snap when you bend them, they will moisten up when you put them in jars. In my experience, you better be checking those jars 2 - 3 times a day for the first week, then daily for the next 2 weeks. If you're going to be gone for days and the bud in the...

Looking for opinions on my first grow

Excellent plants and excellent pics, you're definitely on the right track. The advice you're getting above is right on, 1 - 2 weeks for the most mature buds would be ideal.
