    Building Aero Cloner

It was a similar story when everyone was growing in soil and someone suggested hydro ;) I wouldnt recommend using an interval of 0.5 seconds, its nowhere near enough time between mistings ;)

    Building Aero Cloner

Its the sum of all the delays, both electrical and hydraulic, every system is unique ;) Using the fewest number of nozzles to get the job done is equivalent to reducing the misting pulse time..you deliver less water.

    Building Aero Cloner

Having a sub second timer is good for adjustments. The system response dictates the shortest misting pulse you can use, not the timer ;)..

1st pic getting 3x as much water per day and 15x more per misting so the roots didnt get chance to breathe. 2nd pic shows the trick, once you figure the amount of water needed per day, is to spread it out as evenly as possible. If the system can provide the same mist coverage with 1sec/90sec or...

Mg deficiency hard to fix and other doubt

The Lucas formula was designed for use with RO water which has no elemental content. Calmag isnt part of the Lucas formula because the micro provides all the Ca thats required. Cutting the micro doesnt just reduce the N, it also affects K, Ca, Fe and all the micro`s ;)

Mg deficiency hard to fix and other doubt

GH micro contains 5% Ca, Vitalink calmag contains 2.86% Ca. If you are using both, the cause of the issue is not due to a lack of Calcium ;)

Mg deficiency hard to fix and other doubt

Unless your using RO you shouldnt need additional calmag with GH, i`d be looking for a different cause. PH, root temperature etc. The standard Amazon uses four 360 degree rotating spinners which drench the roots so dont rule out overwatering unless you have added your own timer ;)

    Cross breeding undercurrent and fogponics

With just a pump you`ll have less control, if you compare the amount of liquid delivered from 2 seconds of mist with a pump and 2 seconds from an accumulator / solenoid you`ll see the difference in liquid volume and in the mist response. Saving wear and tear on the pump is fine, taking it to the...

    Cross breeding undercurrent and fogponics

I never use more than 3 seconds of mist even on outdoor units in full sun. I`d try to figure the shortest mist pulse your nozzles will handle that still fills the chamber with mist and go from there. It shouldnt be anywhere near 60 seconds ;)

    Cross breeding undercurrent and fogponics

15 seconds of mist with double the nozzles is probably into monsoon territory, i was thinking just a second or two. A 3gallon accumulator running 90-100psi should hold around a litre of nutes. At 80-100 it would be 2L. I would charge the tank until the pressure switch cuts the pump and make a...

    Cross breeding undercurrent and fogponics

If your running double the nozzles you should halve the misting pulse to deliver the same amount.

    Cross breeding undercurrent and fogponics

Its just hpa with a 1000psi (70 bar) patio misting pump. One guy used two pressure washer pumps to run a vertical A-frame setup, bet that was seriously loud at 2am ;)

    Water quality and calmag

Technically it is but i guess no one bothers to read the label. Nitrifying bacteria convert ammonia to nitrite and nitrate.

    Water quality and calmag

I would say yes because the plants will make use of the calcium and nitrate during veg. Nitric controls the ph and provide useful nutrients for no cost. Phos will control the ph but adds nothing particularly useful to the plants. Look around for this stuff, it can be had for as little as £6.50...

    Water quality and calmag

Its better to use weight, some epsom salt crystals can be chunkier than others. 0.5g per litre will bump the Mg by about 50ppm. Weighed 1 tablespoon (15ml) of epsom and its about 15.8g. With 5gal of water you`d bump the Mg by 82ppm. Botanicare calmag plus at 10ml/4L adds 31ppm ;)

    Water quality and calmag

Use phosphoric acid for the bloom stage if you need to make adjustments. Ph generally falls in bloom due to the uptake of potassium (K+) and rises in veg due to uptake of nitrate (NO3-).. Calcium sulphate is also called gypsum, which can play havoc with pumps and pipework. The solubility of...

    Water quality and calmag

The only hydro store one i know of for sure is dutch pro ph- grow which is 38%. Agricultural suppliers typically stock much stronger 60% at less than 1/3rd the price..it comes in a 20L drum ;)

    Water quality and calmag

You didnt read it correctly, i said there`s no problem ;) Nitric acid will react positively with the tapwater, converting the carbonate into nitrate. Phosphoric acid isnt as useful because the reaction with carbonate forms insoluble phosphate.

    Water quality and calmag

Use nitric acid ph down and there`s no problem with using soft tapwater. .
