    CSI humboldt thread

Looking like today's the day for my Bubba Kush x Old Family Purple to come down. Budrot is spreading too fast for my liking and rain in the forecast. Leans Bubba on all fronts...smells like gassy coffee. I'll definitely be growing this one again next year.

    Ak-47 how far along?

Yea I'd go with at least 4 weeks. 6 might be a stretch with your weather but I wouldn't consider chopping for another month. Nice work, they're nice and fat already.

I'm not in SoCo but in SF, also got the rain you're talking about. Some budrot but also cut it out before it spread. I'd wager most strains should go 1-3 more weeks but anyone with budrot will chop earlier.

Thanks, I'm getting a bit of budrot on it because the nugs are so dense. Amazing smells though. I'd def run it indoors if I could, one of the best smelling plants I've come across.

Nice, you grew it also? I'm getting this fermented tropical fruit smell, can't wait to chop. Sorry for the blurry pic.

9th week flower normal or problems

I use Grandevo up til harvest. Expensive but it kicks ass, only thing I found to work on aphids. Also kills pretty much every other cannabis pest like mites, thrips etc. I only have to use it about once every 3 weeks because it is like a nuclear bomb.

    Sirtalis' California Organic Outdoor 2021

Secret Service is giving me a headache with budrot, so I've chopped all the main colas and left the secondaries. Beautiful frosty strain, just terrible with budrot in my environment.

    Budrot...chop early?

Thanks guys, I'll chop #3 today and let the others ride for a bit more. It's looking like I have 5 days of sunshine but the morning dew is killing me. Some of the buds are just soaked in the morning then when it heats up it's perfect conditions for mold.

    Budrot...chop early?

The white residue on leaves is from Grandevo applications.

    Budrot...chop early?

I wanted to give these at least 2 more weeks but they're getting morning dew every day now. I've had to cut out rot on about 8 colas out of 40ish total in the garden, spraying with h202 on infection sites as well. The rot is progressing at about 2 new colas a day. Do you think I should risk...

Nice chonky colas! I'm also getting some bud rot and debating chopping earlier than I'd like.

    Mix BT w/ Potassium Bicarbonate?

The only time I mix together is if its BT + a bacterial antifungal. I don't mix something like potassium bicarb because of the chance of killing the BT. I suppose you could do a test to see if the BT dies when mixed with something else. Next time you find a caterpillar, bring it inside into...

    Bud rot?

Yea I go straight for the 3% as well and also chop out any infected buds. I find that if the mold has spread to a stem, you can slow down the infection by dabbing it with liquid copper. It's a stronger antifungal than h202, but you can't let any of it get on buds. You don't want to be smoking...

Too many yellow leaves in flower?

I spray up til harvest...I just wash my buds before drying.

Do you guys shake after a rain? Or just let em dry out naturally?

    Whatcha think?

I wouldn't reveg a plant that has had mold. Just not worth the risk. I'd pick a new strain that is more resistant and/or try to fix the environmental issues that caused the mold.

    Whatcha think?

Mold can be both systemic or surface level. Typically when the stem itself is rotting, you know it's systemic. If a small isolated bud is rotting because of lack of airflow, you might be lucky that it's just surface level.
